Wisdom The application of past experiences to present circumstances in order to maximise future human flourishing
Truth 1: Wisdom is better than money Proverbs 8:10-11 Choose my instruction rather than silver, and knowledge rather than pure gold. 11 For wisdom is far more valuable than rubies. Nothing you desire can compare with it. Proverbs 24:3-4 A house is built by wisdom and becomes strong through good sense. 4 Through knowledge its rooms are filled with all sorts of precious riches and valuables.
Truth 1: Wisdom is better than money 1 Tim 6:18-19 Tell them to use their money to do good. They should be rich in good works and generous to those in need, always being ready to share with others. 19 By doing this they will be storing up their treasure as a good foundation for the future so that they may experience true life.
Truth 2: Money doesn t satisfy Proverbs 23:Don t wear yourself out trying to get rich. Be wise enough to know when to quit. 5 In the blink of an eye wealth disappears, for it will sprout wings and fly away like an eagle. Eccl 5:10-11 Those who love money will never have enough. How meaningless to think that wealth brings true happiness! 11 The more you have, the more people come to help you spend it. So what good is wealth except perhaps to watch it slip through your fingers!
Truth 3: Hard work pays off- (Usually) 6 Take a lesson from the ants, you lazybones. Learn from their ways and become wise! 7 Though they have no prince or governor or ruler to make them work, 8 they labour hard all summer, gathering food for the winter. 9 But you, lazybones, how long will you sleep? When will you wake up? 10 A little extra sleep, a little more slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest 11 then poverty will pounce on you like a bandit; scarcity will attack you like an armed robber.
Poverty Wealth
Eccl 5: 8 Don t be surprised if you see a poor person being oppressed by the powerful and if justice is being miscarried throughout the land. For every official is under orders from higher up, and matters of justice get lost in red tape and bureaucracy. 9 Even the king milks the land for his own profit!
Truth 4: The Lord loves generosity Proverbs 22:9 Blessed are those who are generous, because they feed the poor. Proverbs 14:21Whoever despises his neighbour is a sinner, but blessed is he who is generous to the poor. Proverbs 14:31 Whoever oppresses a poor man insults his Maker, but he who is generous to the needy honours him.

Truth 5: You can t out-give God Proverbs 3: 9 Honour the LORD with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce. 10 Then he will fill your barns with grain, and your vats will overflow with good wine. Proverbs 11:24 Give freely and become more wealthy; be stingy and lose everything. But God said to him, Fool! This night your soul is required of you, and the things you have prepared, whose will they be? So is the one who lays up treasure for himself and is not rich toward God.
Truth 5: You can t out-give God Luke 12:16 And he told them a parable, saying, The land of a rich man produced plentifully, 17 and he thought to himself, What shall I do, for I have nowhere to store my crops? 18 And he said, I will do this: I will tear down my barns and build larger ones, and there I will store all my grain and my goods. 19 And I will say to my soul, Soul, you have ample goods laid up for many years; relax, eat, drink, be merry. 20 But God said to him, Fool! This night your soul is required of you, and the things you have prepared, whose will they be? 21 So is the one who lays up treasure for himself and is not rich toward God.
