AROUND THE AREA Pietra fitness resumes classes on Wednesdays, 3pm at Immaculate Conception in Carges Hall beginning on August 22nd. Pietra Fitness is a stretching, strengthening and balancing exercise program which combines Catholic/ Christian prayer and meditation. Currently Pietra Fitness is primarily offered to women. French Boys Choir Les Moineaux will be on tour in the East and South of the United States this summer. Their concerts will include music of the sixteenth century and the well known Hallelujah from Handel, Ave Maria from Gounod, as well as music pieces of the French folklores. They will be performing at Immaculate Conception Church on Monday, August 20th, at 2:00pm. There is no charge, but they will accept a free will offering. This choir has been singing and travelling all over the world for 65 years. Please note that to accommodate this choir, daily Mass will be at 7:00am. Do you have a few extra hours in your week? BIRTHRIGHT NEED YOU! Birthright is a non-profit organization that helps women in crisis pregnancies. We believe it is the right of every pregnant woman to give birth and the right of every child to be born. It is our mission to help these women to find resources and to lend a listening ear.
