CONFESSION AND ABSOLUTION So let us confess our sins in the presence of God and of each other. Please kneel or sit for the confession.
We confess to you, almighty God, before the whole company of heaven, and to each other, that we have sinned in thought, word, and deed by our own fault. Have mercy on us; for Jesus sake, forgive us all our sins, and bring us to eternal life. Amen.
Almighty God, our heavenly Father, has had mercy on us, and has given his only Son to die for us, and for his sake forgives us all our sins. To those who believe in his name he has given the right to become children of God, and has given them his Holy Spirit. Whoever believes and is baptised will be saved. Grant this, Lord, to us all. Amen.
SHARE THE PEACE Peace be with you. Amen. Please stand to share the peace with those around you.
SONG OF PRAISE This Kingdom AT 329
1. Jesus, God s righteousness revealed, The Son of Man, The Son of God, His Kingdom comes. Jesus, redemption s sacrifice Now glorified, now justified, His Kingdom comes.
And this Kingdom will know no end And it s glory shall know no bounds, For the majesty and power Of this Kingdom s King has come. And this Kingdom s reign And this Kingdom s rule And this Kingdom s power and authority- Jesus, God s righteousness revealed.
2. Jesus, the expression of God s love, The grace of God, the Word of God Revealed to us; Jesus, God s holiness displayed, Now glorified, now justified, His Kingdom comes.
And this Kingdom will know no end And it s glory shall know no bounds, For the majesty and power Of this Kingdom s King has come. And this Kingdom s reign And this Kingdom s rule And this Kingdom s power and authority- Jesus, God s righteousness revealed. (Repeat) Words and music: Geoff Bullock 1995 Word Inc, USA. APOSTLES CREED As God s people through our baptism into Christ, let us confess our faith. I believe in God, the Father almighty, maker of heaven and earth. And in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried.
He descended into hell. The third day he rose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven, and sits at the right hand of God, the Father almighty, from thence he will come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic* church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen *or: Christian; 'catholic' here means 'universal'
THE PRAYER OF THE DAY The Lord be with you. And also with you. Let us pray for a fuller trust in God:
Most loving Father, it is your will that we should leave all our worries with you. Keep us from faithless fears and worldly anxieties, that no cloud may hide from us the light of your love in Jesus Christ our Lord. For he lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.
Especially for children

SONG Man of Sorrows Crocker - Ligetwood
1. Man of sorrows Lamb of God By His own betrayed The sin of man and wrath of God Has been on Jesus laid
2. Silent as He stood accused Beaten mocked and scorned Bowing to the Father's will He took a crown of thorns
Oh that rugged cross my salvation Where Your love poured out over me Now my soul cries out hallelujah Praise and honour unto Thee
3. Sent of heaven God's own Son To purchase and redeem And reconcile the very ones Who nailed Him to that tree
Oh that rugged cross my salvation Where Your love poured out over me Now my soul cries out hallelujah Praise and honour unto Thee
Now my debt is paid It is paid in full By the precious blood That my Jesus spilled Now the curse of sin Has no hold on me Whom the Son sets free Oh is free indeed
Oh that rugged cross my salvation Where Your love poured out over me Now my soul cries out hallelujah Praise and honour unto Thee
4. See the stone is rolled away Behold the empty tomb Hallelujah God be praised He's risen from the grave
Oh that rugged cross my salvation Where Your love poured out over me Now my soul cries out hallelujah Praise and honour unto Thee Brooke Ligertwood Matt Crocker 2012 Hillsong Music Publishing Used with permission CCLI#157787
