Heavenly Father, today we give thanks to you for all the young people of our parish for those who take part in our Uniformed Organisations and those who attend Sunday School. We thank you for the opportunity given to us to learn more about you, and to grow closer to you. Lord in your mercy hear our prayer. 2. Heavenly Father, we thank you today for our Youth Leaders and our Sunday School Teachers. They give up their time for us. They prepare lessons which help us to learn more about you. Strengthen them in all that they do, and encourage them in their own faith. Lord in your mercy hear our prayer. 3. Heavenly Father, we pray for children throughout the world. We know that we are very lucky that we live in a country that is rich in comparison with many parts of the world. We pray for children who have no food, or clean water, no home, or family. We pray for children who live on the streets of big cities, children who have no school, no doctors and no hospitals. Help us Lord, always to be thankful for all that we have, and to help others whenever we can. Lord in your mercy, hear our prayer. 4. Heavenly Father, we pray for all those who are sick. We pray for those from our own parish, our families and our community who are sick at home, or in hospital, or in nursing homes. Lord in your mercy, hear our prayer. 5. Heavenly Father, we thank you for the Bible and its words of instruction for our lives. Help us to follow the way of your Commandments and guide us to fulfil our duty towards You and our neighbour.
