SPONSORSHIP PACKAGE To Whom It May Concern: On November 15, more than 500 young future leaders of Toronto s Jewish community will come together for one incredible evening of comedy and networking at UJA Young Leaders BIG Event. Hosted at the Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel, this evening will be a high-profile event featuring headliner, Jeff Ross. This event comes on the heels of similar large-scale events in Chicago and New York, both of which were a resounding success. Just like the events held in those cities, Toronto s BIG Event will attract the city s young up-and-comers, professionals in their 20s, 30s and early 40s, who are eager to make their mark on Toronto s Jewish community and who truly have the power to make a lasting impact on this city. The goal of The BIG Event is to imbue a spirit of giving within young Jewish Toronto, inspiring them to give to the causes they care most about through United Jewish Appeal, ultimately building a robust donor base among the Jewish community s next generation of leaders. The BIG Event is also our way of thanking these donors for their generosity. All attendees will be asked to make a contribution to UJA s 2015 Annual Campaign. Our objective is to engage a new generation of donors and active community participants, which is so crucial to the future and continued growth and success of Toronto s Jewish community. While the city is teeming with worthy charities, United Jewish Appeal retains the unique status of being the only organization in Jewish Toronto that focuses on the entire community. UJA is efficient too; donor dollars are multiplied by funds from other sources that either match or go beyond those invested through UJA. We have a strong young Jewish community - last year, more than 2,500 people under the age of 40 contributed more than $1.5 million to UJA, and volunteer involvement in UJA s programs and activities has been growing over the last three years. But there is room to grow, and The BIG Event will help us bring the young professionals of our community together while providing a perfect venue for mixing fun with philanthropy. Sincerely, The BIG Event 2014 Chairs and Committee! CHAIRS Blair Bernholtz David Isaacman Madison Isaacman Brie Kimel Jeffrey Kimel Kyle Lichtman

SPONSORSHIP PACKAGE WHO WE ARE United Jewish Appeal is the only organization in Jewish Toronto that serves the needs of the entire community. Together, with our network of more than 100 partner agencies, UJA continues to transform lives in Toronto, Israel and across the globe through impactful initiatives that nurture and strengthen Jewish identity, support our community s most vulnerable, champion Israel advocacy and ensure that we continue to stand united with the people of Israel. UJA also encourages young adults in Toronto to become both financially and communally engaged in all facets of Jewish life, fostering their passion for building a meaningful and relevant Jewish community. UJA Young Leaders inspires Jewish Toronto s brightest, most passionate young professionals in their 20s, 30s and early 40s, through a multitude of philanthropic, volunteer and social opportunities to become active community participants and help sustain the Jewish community in Toronto for future generations. THE CAUSE A gift to UJA connects the members of our community with one another through the practice of Jewish values and ideals. It also allows us to continue the transformative work we do on behalf of the Jewish people of Toronto, Israel and around the world. Through the power of community and collective responsibility, we can do more together with one gift than any person could do alone. UJA is the backbone of Jewish Toronto; through UJA, we all benefit from living in one of the greatest and most united Jewish communities in the Diaspora. Toronto leads the way in Jewish supplementary and day school systems, has the highest per capita participation on Birthright Israel, and supports the vulnerable members of our community. In fact, each year UJA provides a safety net for thousands of Jewish citizens living in vulnerable regions, providing shelter, food and emergency relief. As Jewish Toronto s most important partner with Israel, UJA has brought over three million Jews to Israel over the past 65 years, ensuring their successful integration. We mobilize resources needed for relief in times of conflict or war in Israel and have developed the single most effective Jewish and Israel advocacy organization in Canada. UJA ensures that we the members of Jewish Toronto always have a voice, so we can continue building for the future of our global Jewish community, together.
