In today s scripture reading, three of the disciples find themselves atop a mountain with Jesus and two prophets from the past appear in a blaze of light. How will they handle this miraculous event? Holy Communion is served to all who believe in the presence of Christ in the bread and wine given to us for the forgiveness of sins. Grape juice and gluten-free wafers are available. Children may come forward for a blessing. Our Mission: Living God s grace, we cultivate community to love and serve.

ASH WEDNESDAY WORSHIP will be held on Wednesday, March 6 th at 6:00 PM. This service, which marks the beginning of Lent, will include Holy Communion and the Imposition of Ashes. Wednesday and Sunday BAM students (Nursery - Fifth Grade) will share 2 songs at the service. Come at 5:00 PM for the first of 6 Lenten Suppers. We share Lenten worship with Bethany Lutheran of Bergen.

LENTEN SUPPERS are served by various ministries of our church. Starting on March 6 th, the first supper will be hosted by Youth & Family and Mission Trip Youth. Through these contacts we are able to build a stronger Church community where all are welcomed. We are also given an opportunity to learn more about these ministries and what they do. Perhaps you would enjoy being involved with a group. Those serving the meals are using this as a fund raiser. If you are able we appreciate your generosity towards our ministries. COME EAT! LENTEN 5 WEEK STUDY begins Wednesday, March 13th, following Lenten worship. Meet at 6:30 in the Skylight Court. Living Well: Christian Practices for Everyday Life 1. Forgiving 2. Managing Household Life 3. Participating in Community 4. Praying 5. Reading the Bible Childcare will be provided. EASTER FLOWER order forms are now available at the back of the church or in the church office. Please return the order form to the office by March 25th. Forty Day Challenge! Church and Society is challenging EVERYONE to give $1 a day for forty days during lent. The money collected will be given to the Southwest Crisis Center. Donations help provide a safe place, food, and clothing for men, women, or children escaping domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse, or sex trafficking. Hotels are frequently used for a temporary safe place till housing is found. Please join us in supporting this important ministry. Please make checks to the Southwest Minnesota Crisis Center. GLOW SEWING DAYS are Tuesday, March 5 th & Tuesday, March 19 th, 9:00 am. Come to the Fellowship Hall to make quilts, baby care kits, fabric kits, personal care kits, and school kits for missions. Remember it costs thirty-nine cents per transaction plus three percent of how much you give. This is another great way to give.

CHRISTIAN EDUCATION NEWS: It s not too late to sign your kids up for camp! Reminder the church will pay $200 towards a full week of camp and $100 towards minicamp for members. If you would like a Camp Shetek booklet, they are located on the bookshelf right inside the parking lot doors. Syrup on the Prairie day was fun yesterday! Thanks to all that participated. SAVE THE DATE! Wednesday, March 20 th and Sunday, March 24th is Family Day at BAM! We want Moms, Dads, Grandmas, Grandpas, Aunts, Uncles, Special Friends, or anyone else you would like to bring to visit us for BAM! We will gather in the Fellowship Hall, the kids will sing for us, and then we will have a family scavenger hunt! We will end our time together back in the Fellowship hall for a snack! Game Night Extravaganza March 10 th / 5:30 8:30pm Hot Dog Bar, Chips & Beverages Come join in the fun!! The Game Night Extravaganza is a night out for everyone. All are welcome. The church nursery will be attended, so you can drop your little ones off after having a hot dog or two. Suggested Price, $5 per plate, but we will be accepting Freewill Offerings. What can you expect from the Extravaganza? A game of the word game, Scattegories, which we will play in teams. There will be Wii Tournaments, Open Mic for those that might want to sing or read a poem, Karaoke, watch a game of Not So Newlywed Game and other fun activities. Plus, Hot Dogs, Hot Dogs, Hot Dogs!! Come on out and let s have some fun together while the kids make a little moola for their mission trip Scrapbook/Crafting Retreat Friday, March 29 th 9am - 9pm & Saturday, March 30 th 9am - 7pm Everyone is welcome to attend. Bring your favorite crafting past time, rent a table and hangout with others that love to craft also.
