DD THE HOG HERALD NOVEMBER 2017 Columbia River Harley Owners Group (HOG) Chapter #542201 Wenatchee, WA Director s Corner Fellow HOGs, Can you believe it snowed here in the valley this Sunday? It could have waited, if you ask me! We had a good turnout for the meeting, and saw a few members who haven't been to the last couple meetings. Great seeing you!! For those that couldn't make it- the elections went well. A few positions changed which I think will keep us rolling down the road in a good way. Welcome back RON HALL- Member Officer! You will need to attend the Christmas party to find out the other changes. So until then have a Great Turkey Day and hope to see you at the party! Harley/ Mike Winner, Winner Chicken Dinner Congratulations to GARY BRADSHAW for winning $62.50 in the 50/50 raffle at the November meeting! Fortunately, CINDY HEDSTROM was at the Chapter meeting and won the $120 Pig Pot! The Progressive Pig Pot is now back to $20, so make sure to attend the January Chapter meeting for your chance to win!! HAVE A WONDERFUL THANKSGIVING! Advertiser of the Month Bags, Bags, Bags! DEBBIE AND DAN HAASE of MOTORCYCLE OUTFITTERS are having a Bag Blowout Sale! Don t forget they also have gift cards available for that hard-to-buy biker in your life. New winter hours are: Wednesday through Saturday, 11:00am until 4:00pm; closed Sunday through Tuesday. They will be closed November 28- December 13. Page 2 Latest Rides and Events Update OCTOBER 21: 22 ND ANNUAL TOY PARADE Unfortunately, the weather refused to cooperate with us this year, so our turnout was pretty low. We still managed to get 25 bikes and several cagers to brave the elements, though! CASA thanks everyone for supporting kids this holiday season. OCTOBER 28: RIDE TO LEAVENWORTH When the sun comes out, we take full advantage of it! Mike said that he counted 17 bikes on this ride, including DAN & DEBBBIE HAASE, CARL LATTIMER, RAY DUFFY, GARY & CINDY HEDSTROM, TROY SKELTON, REIDA JONES, REX GRIFFIN, KEN & BOBBIE SHANK, MIKE SCARBACH, MIKE ABHOLD. OCTOBER 29: RIDE TO WINTHROP FOR LUNCH This was another last-minute ride, but we still had 9 bikes show up! CINDY & GARY HEDSTROM, CARNAN & JUNE BERGREN, CARL LATTIMER, TROY SKELTON, GARY & JUDY BRADFORD, MIKE ABHOLD, KEN & BOBBIE SHANK, DAVE TALLEY. We ate at Three Fingered Jacks before heading home.

Chelan Avenue) at 10:30am, or you can walk in the parade (several veterans organizations will be there). Volunteers are needed to carry Gold Star Family banners depicting deceased military members from the greater Wenatchee Valley. After the parade, there is a free lunch at the fire station. If you are interested in carrying a banner, please contact DeeAnn De Angelo at (509) 669-0601 or email her at kizmitjean@aol.com. There is also a breakfast at the American Legion, and 75 free tickets available to the Wild Hockey game at 7pm on Veterans Day and discounted tickets are available for vets for $8, after the free tickets are gone. The burning question on everyone s minds: will the blue knitted boobies that JIM SIRCIN won last year make an appearance again this year? You ll have to show up to find out! He also sold the Victory and replaced it with a 2017 Road Glide! JEALOUS! He wants to give a shout out to his dad, DAVE MCCARTER, SR. who turns 70 years young on 11/29. HAPPY BIRTHDAY! $$...NANCY & DENNIS BROUWERS became GREAT-grandparents on 9/21 when JOSHUA GIDEON was born! CONGRATULATIONS! $$...KAREN ALLEN reports that her daughter, SAMANTHA, is now gainfully employed as a CPA! WOOT WOOT! $$...MICHELE & DAVE TALLEY are grandparents!! Welcome to the world, LAINE CODY (AKA PEANUT )! Karen s Safety Squeal Thar s snow up in them hills! That means there is most likely de-icer and sand on the roads as well. You know the drill.if you haven t yet garaged your bike for the winter, take it easy when you re riding. Also, you may want to adjust your passing lamps out at an angle so you can spot the deer a little easier.
