Oooooweeeeeee God!!!! Lady Chanel s Blog I must admit that some days I ask God, how did I wind up in this condition? How did I get here? Honestly, I have had many moments to stop and reflect on what I knew my life was suppose to be. I am a planner and an organizer. I plan my work and work my plan, but trust me; this was not in the cards. I did not see ALS coming and surely not this fast. It has been 10 years now and from the day of my diagnosis I honestly did not know what to expect. I did not know if I could or would make it. To be totally honest, I did not know if I even wanted to make it. I had no idea what it would be like to live almost completely paralyzed, speechless, and unable to breathe on my own. Well 10 years later, that s my story; almost completely paralyzed, speechless, and unable to breathe on my own. I know it may sound horrible to you and it may bring tears to your eyes, but please don t cry for me because God has still made a way out of no way. I now know what amazing grace truly looks and feels like. I have a busy few weeks coming up. I am preparing for Easter, preparing for college tours with Deja in North Carolina and Atlanta, and Angel will be finishing up her first year of college in a little over a month. I wish I could shout, Won t he do it! Every day God takes the little that I have and turns it into a lot. I don t have much to offer unto God on a daily basically physically, but I truly believes that he blesses me because each day I do my best to offer up a positive attitude and mind set unto God. I try hard to have a good attitude and in turn, God sets a great atmosphere. I work on my mind and God shows me what truly matters. Some battles are just too big to fight all by yourself. You may not have much to bring to the table right now, but you can work on your attitude towards life. So what things have not gone your way? That does not mean that God is not working in your favor. I know some will say if God is so good, why are you tore up from the floor up? My response is that I may be tore up, but I got a testimony. You may see a mess, but I know I m a miracle. If you read this blog today, please know that it is not about how others see you, but rather how you see yourself. It doesn t matter if things don t go your way, as long as God is still on your side. Do your best and let God do the rest. #AmazingGrace

2018 Sacrificial Giving We are called to model our giving after God s unconditional generosity to us. Our gifts to Him become sacrificial when we give from what we thought we needed for ourselves. We are asking all members to commit to giving $20 per month sacrificially for a total of $240. God has purposed great things for us in 2018 and we need everyone working towards the vision. Do not neglect to do well and to share what you have. For such sacrifices are pleasing to God. Hebrews 13:16 Transportation: The Transportation Ministry is looking for additional drivers. One of my favorite sayings is, God doesn t call the equipped, He equips the called. If you are His, then you are called. Not because of who you are or what you can do, but because God can and will do His work through you. Did God tell Jonah to go to Nineveh because Jonah was a great leader with amazing vision? No! Jonah proved to be quite wimpy. When Jonah finally made it to Nineveh, did God bring a great wave of repentance and restoration because of Jonah s rhetorical gifts? No! God stirred the hearts and changed the lives of hundreds of Ninevites because Jonah finally had the courage to speak God s words. God wants to do something similar through you. He wants you to stop fighting Him on this and be willing to speak for Him, so others can know the same healing and hope that you know. Will you be his vessel? 10 Money Habits to Break In 2018 (A new one will be revealed every week) Do bad money habits HURT your financial progress? Yep! Many people fall into the same financial behavior patterns year after year. If you have any of these financial tendencies, the New Year is as good an occasion as any to alter your behavior. #9: Not Contributing to IRAs or Workplace Retirement Plans. Even with all the complaints about 401(k)s and the low annual limits on traditional and Roth IRA contributions, these retirement savings vehicles offer you remarkable wealth-building opportunities. The earlier you contribute to them, the better; the more you contribute to them, the more compounding of those invested assets you may potentially realize.
