Aubrielle Narrator 2: The colors of Christmas they re celebrated inside and outside our homes, throughout our shopping malls, and even on the funny sweaters we are asked, or maybe made, to wear. (holds up sweater) Collin Narrator 3: Yet, if you look closely enough and stop for a few moments to consider, these brilliant colors of Christmas can help retell the story of the birth of Christ. Evan Narrator 4: Let us now take a journey and unfold the colors of Christmas, Nellie Narrator 5: both with our eyes and our imaginations. All of Scene 1 exit platform and stand/sing on floor All Grades sing: The Colors of Christmas

Riley (3H) Narrator 2: Gold it s also the color that reminds us of the angels who made the amazing announcement in the sky that first Christmas night. Ava (Mary) and Joseph (Joseph) step up to stable. Mary placed baby Jesus in the manger. Stay until end of scene (exit back to pews when speakers finish). Lauren M. (3S) (Angel 1) : And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David, a Savior, which is Christ the Lord. Ellie D. (3H) (Angel 2) And this shall be a sign unto you; Katy (3S) (Angel 3): You shall find the baby wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. Frankie (3S) (Angel 4): And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, All Angels (Frankie keeps microphone): Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men. Ann (3H) Narrator 6: The little town of Bethlehem would never be the same. All go back to pews (Ava and Joseph step down from stable)

Audience sings: Hark the Herald Angels Sing Scene 3: (3H) At the end of Hark the Herald Angels Sing song, Narrators get in line and walk up on platform Cecilia Narrator 1: The color green can remind us of Christmas trees in our homes, all brightly decorated with colorful ornaments. August Narrator 2: Green it also brings to mind the grassy hillside of Bethlehem Jack Narrator 3: where the shepherds were watching their flocks. Charlie Narrator 4: And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. Parker Narrator 5: The shepherds said to one another, Let us go to Bethlehem and see this thing which has come to pass. Madison Narrator 6: The color brown may not seem like a color of Christmas but you can see it on the cloaks of the shepherds. Martha Narrator 7: and on the animals found in the stable. Marissa Narrator 8: Brown is the color of the wooden manger where Christ laid as a baby and reminds us of the wooden cross where later, Christ would be hung as Savior of all mankind. Zoe Narrator 9: Green and brown we can see them in our trees, the shepherds, animals, and in Christ s miraculous birth. * All go back to pews

(3S), Henry (3H), and Nathan (3H) wait in isle with gifts Landon Narrator 1 (holding large snowflake): As a symbol of peace and purity, the color white can make us think of snowflakes, snowmen and candles around our homes. It also reminds us of the light that Jesus brought to the world. Gabby Narrator 2: The color blue can remind us of Mary, the mother of Jesus and the sky holding the bright star over Bethlehem that led the wise men on their long journey to Jesus. Three Wise men (Sam P. Henry and Nathan) walk up to manger with gifts Marianne Narrator 3: Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem, saying, Where is he that is born King, for we have seen his star in the east, and have come to worship him. James Narrator 4: When they saw the star, they rejoiced with great joy. Wise men (Sam P. Henry and Nathan) place gifts in front of manger then kneel down. Simon Narrator 5: And when arrived, they saw the young child with Mary, his mother, and fell down and worshiped him. Malayna Narrator 6: White and blue like the wise men, may we seek after the Christ child too. **(All scene 4 go back up to riser spots and sing)

Scene 5: (3S) After We Three Kings, Narrators, come down from risers, line up and walk on platform Jayden Narrator 1: The color of red you see it in the stripes of candy canes, in holly berries, and as the brightly colored nose of our favorite little reindeer. JohnPaul Narrator 2: The color red also reminds us of Christ and his sacrifice for us on the cross. Blake Narrator 3: He came as the Christ child born in a manger, but later gave His life for us. Zach Narrator 4: For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Cali Narrator 5: The color of salvation, the red that makes us see, the words that Jesus told us, the gift that sets us free. **(All scene 4 go back up to riser spots and sing) Grade 3 sings: On Christmas Night
