Christmas Party a Success The annual Christmas Party this year was held at the Family Center on Tuesday, December 6 th. The gathering of an estimated 175 adults and 35 children took place complete with a wonderful buffet dinner followed by a visit from Santa Claus. It was a very successful event enjoyed by all in attendance. Thanks to all the working knights who helped to make the event so great with a special acknowledgement extended to Jeff Huff who once again chaired the gathering. The following photographs visually display the event: and bags of donated canned goods for the needy. The Hall was beautifully decorated The Hall was wall to wall people eager for the evening. More decorations of the season. The children were busy at their work table.

Knight Jeff Huff chaired the event. The buffet was wonderful! Jeanette and David Geisler just enjoying There were many tables of friends at the gathering. Knight Jeff Huff welcomes Santa to the party. Santa listening to the gift wishes of a youngster

In Memory of Sir Knight, Thomas (Tom) Patrick Eulitt, March 17, 1934 December 16, 2016 Tom fought the good fight but in the end his illness was too much and he died at age 82. He was a fine knight, husband, father and grandfather. He will be missed for his many accomplishments and contributions in Muncie Council 560 and Assembly 243. He was a knight of distinction who served in many capacities including Grand Knight, Faithful Navigator and District Deputy. His leadership style served to unite and always resulted in accomplishment. He served many years as Chair of the Muncie K of C Building Committee and recently saw the Hall and Parking Lot renovations he envisioned brought to completion. Tom Eulitt was a knight s knight who loved the K of C organization and believed in it as a devoted member. Finally, among his many attributes, we will miss his wit and insights. God speed to our special Knight Tom Eulitt and may he Rest in Peace! The assembly provided an Honor Guard at both the viewing on December 19 th and the funeral Mass on December 20 th. The photo below was taken of 4 th Degree participants at the viewing: Fourteen Sir Knights in Full Regalia served as Honor Guard for Sir Knight Tom Eulitt s viewing. Assembly 243 News On November 8, in an informal ceremony, District Deputy Robert Talbott installed the officers for Assembly 243. Assembly News (Continued) During October the Assembly held a book drive for the Veteran Hospitals of Indiana. We were able to collect over 500 books and 1200 magazines that were donated to the Marion Veteran s Hospital. They were very pleased with the donations to their library. In December the Assembly attended masses at St Francis and St Lawrence in Muncie, for the intention of their Faithfully Departed Brothers. All knights attending these masses were in formal attire. A third Muncie mass group attendance will be held on Sunday, January 29 at the 8:30 am St Mary Mass. All assembly Sir Knights are invited to attend in full regalia attire. This article was contributed by Faithful Navigator, Joe McPherson Council December Family of the Month Award Knight Jack Holland was honored as Family of the month for December at the December 20 th business meeting. Jack serves as Lecturer for the council and is Past Faithful Navigator. He recently attempted to rescue a neighbor from her burning home. His bravery in the attempt along with his strong support of the council support his receiving the award. Well Done Fellow Knight! Greg Smith (L), Family Service Committee Director, presents Family of the Month Award for December to Jack Holland.
