Sessions will be on the second Wednesday except for October's on the third Wednesday. As to the religious sessions two of our regular presenters, Susan Miller and Dr. William Rogers, will return. Visiting will be Diana Cabigting, Philip Mereton, Rabbi Yoseph Samuels, and Kevin Reger. The healing sessions will be presented by Diana Soria, Bob Bendykowski, and a special guest, Bev Zabler, an RN and expert in Therapeutic Touch. THE THEOSOPHICAL SOCIETY IN MILWAUKEE AUTUMN 2012 PROGRAM SCHEDULE SEPTEMBER 5: HEALING THE THREE BODIES Bob Bendykowski opens the Fall season with a continuing report on his research into disease and healing. For some attendees this may include a peak experience. SEPTEMBER 12: STUDY GROUP, ISIS UNVEILED, PART TWO Terry Wysocki begins the study group sessions by examining chapters 21 & 22 from HPB's classic. These chapters deal with early Christianity and the roots of Jesuitry and Masonry. SEPTEMBER 19: THE GAYATRI MANTRA Learn to chant the Gayatri Mantra and experience its beneficial effects on your life. Diana Cabigting from National Headquarters will share her insights on this powerful mantra. SEPTEMBER 26: THE SACRED MOTHER: ISIS, MARY, AND GUANYIN Diana Soria, a former president of the Milwaukee Lodge, will discuss the "Sacred Mother" concept with a comparison of three of the most famous beings representative of motherhood. Diana has studied worldwide and is a well known teacher and healer. OCTOBER 3: THE CONVERGENCE OF SCIENCE AND SPIRITUALITY Philip Mereton, author of the Quest Magazine "Does God Evolve?" joins us to highlight his book "The Heaven at the End of Science: An Argument for a New Worldview of Hope." He will discuss how spirituality and science are evolving to a point of convergence that will occur when science rids itself of the unnecessary assumptions of materialism. Philip is a practicing lawyer with a degree in philosophy. He lives in Glen Ellyn, IL and his book will be available for purchase.
OCTOBER 10: TIBETAN BUDDHIST MEDITATION Join us for an evening exploring theosophical connections to Tibetan Buddhism, explanations of some basic concepts in Tibetan Buddhist meditation, and experience a meditation as given by HH the 16th Karmapa. Presenter Susan Miller has been a student of Buddhism for decades and a practitioner of Diamond Way Buddhism for four years. OCTOBER 17: STUDY GROUP, ISIS UNVEILED, PART TWO Kathleen Neuman leads us through Chapter 23, The Vedas and the Bible. OCTOBER 24: JIN SHIN JYUTSU AND TAI CHI Diana Soria returns to provide an introduction to these oriental disciplines and their use for personal healing. Her training goes back to Master Jiro Murai in Japan through Mary Burmeister of Phoenix, a student of the Master. Diana has practiced Tai Chi Ch'uan for forty years and has appeared on TV in Spain and the US including Hawaii. OCTOBER 31: KABBALAH: THE INNER MYSTICAL SECRETS OF THE TORAH The Torah, the first five books of the Bible, were handed down directly from God. As such they contain information not freely available to the casual student. Rabbi Yoseph Samuels invites us to delve into some of this otherwise inaccessible knowledge. NOVEMBER 7: INTRODUCTION TO THERAPEUTIC TOUCH Therapeutic Touch, a medically acceptable form of hands-on healing, was developed in the 1970's by Dora Kunz and Dolores Krieger. In this session Dr. Bev Zabler, a TT practitioner for over thirty years, will present the concepts underlying this healing technique. NOVEMBER 14: STUDY GROUP, ISIS UNVEILED, PART TWO Tom Wroblewski will lead the group in a discussion of Isis Chapter 24 which deals with "The Devil Myth." Holy water will be available.
NOVEMBER 28: MYSTICISM IN ANCIENT CAMBODIA The current materialistic and scientific atmosphere has pushed mysticism into the background. All civilizations BCE, however, had highly developed mystical systems. Dr. William Rogers returns to discuss such beliefs as held in old Cambodia. DECEMBER 5: A HOLIDAY MYSTERIES CONCERT Kevin Reger, an ordained minister, an Edgar Cayce organization coordinator, and a House of Hospitality worker, is also a folk singer with a unique sense of humor. He will perform original songs highlighting the mysteries of the Judeo- Christian tradition and offer a lament for the decline of Western Civilization. Join us for this introduction to the Holidays! DECEMBER 12: STUDY GROUP, ISIS UNVEILED, PART TWO Jacob Hey leads tonight's discussion on Chapter 19, "Mysteries of the Kabbala." DECEMBER 19: INDUCTION OF NEW MEMBERS, OPEN HOUSE AND DISCUSSION We traditionally have a little ceremony where we induct and formally introduce new members to the Lodge. To all our friends, A wonderful opportunity for those interested in relieving the pain and discomforts of others is offered this November in conjunction with our series of Lodge topics and studies. Therapeutic Touch is widely accepted throughout many types of medical practices. An overview will be presented at our regularly scheduled Lodge meeting November 7 th and a basic beginner s workshop will be held the following Friday and Saturday. THERAPEUTIC TOUCH (TT) A FREE INTRODUCTION Wednesday, Nov. 7 th, 2012 from 7-8pm Presented by BEV ZABLER, RN, PhD, at the Milwaukee Theosophical Society TT was created in the 1970's by Dora Kunz, a clairvoyant, natural healer, and President of the Theosophical Society of America for 12 years, and Dolores (Dee) Krieger RN, PhD, a Professor Emeritus at New York University. Dora and Dee developed TT at Pumpkin Hollow Farm in upstate New York through treatments given by nurses in clinical trials with patients referred by New York City physicians. TT is a contemporary interpretation of several ancient healing modalities and is used in health care facilities in 100 countries. Evidence-based benefits of TT documented by 4 decades of research include increased relaxation, decreased anxiety and pain and enhanced wound healing. BASIC THERAPEUTIC TOUCH (TT) WORKSHOP Friday Nov. 9 th from 6-9pm & Saturday, Nov. 10 th from 8am-6pm (lunch on your own) A 12-hour Basic TT experiential workshop is a pre-requisite for Intermediate and Advanced TT classes, TT International Association credentialing, and TT mentorships. This Basic TT workshop is offered in honor of Dora Kunz at a reduced fee of $150. Scholarships are available, please inquire Wednesday at the introductory session. For 32 years, Dr. Bev Zabler has integrated TT and other complementary therapies into her nursing practice. Since 1992, she attended 10 International Krieger-Kunz TT Invitational Workshops and taught TT to over 400 workshop participants. Bev is a five-
time mentor for TT Mentorship Invitational Intensives and on the East Coast Invitational Mentorship Board. She is a long-time member of the TT International Association, the American Holistic Nurses Association, and the Institute for Noetic Sciences.
