Welcome, Brian! Today, while Wesley s director or music, Jordan Markham, enjoys some vacation time, please welcome Brian Sevison to the organ bench. Brian is a sophomore music education major at Susquehanna University. He has been playing organ for three years and studies under Dr. Marcos Krieger. Brian is a member of Bethel United Methodist Church of Catawissa. Please warmly greet Brian, and thank him for sharing his talents with us this morning. Piano Fundraiser Continue The current drive to raise funds for a grand piano continues with various events you can support. Please take advantage of the flyer included with today s worship folder. Take the flyer to Panera Bread on Monday, March 4. You can enjoy a delicious meal, and the Chancel Choir will receive a percentage of the purchase price of your meal that will benefit the piano. In addition, you can still purchase a key for the piano. Look for the piano display in the Third Street narthex for additional details. Envelopes you can use to make a grand piano donation (or to purchase a key) can be found at various locations throughout the church. See the flip-side of this insert regarding the upcoming open mic night event which also benefits the purchase of the grand piano. Thank you for your support of the grand piano fundraisers Time To Order Easter Flowers The Lenten begins next month, and it s time to think about ordering flowers which will adorn the Wesley sanctuary on Easter morning. Once again this year, white Easter lilies and various colors of hyacinths and tulips will be the flowers of choice. Along with the traditional spring flowers, this year, orders will be taken for Reiger begonias. As always, flowers can be ordered in honor of or in memory of a loved one. And, as is the Wesley tradition, orders will also be taken for plants to be placed at Geisinger House of Care in Danville. Forms for ordering Easter plants are included with this worship folder and with the March issue of Wesley Tidings. Additional forms can be obtained from the desk in the Third Street narthex, the Donation Station in the Murray Avenue entryway, or on the Hospitality Table in the Market Street vestibule or stop at the church office any day during the week. March/April Upper Room Devotional Now Available The March/April issue of The Upper Room devotional magazine is now available. The Upper Room is a great way to enhance your daily devotion time and will help make the upcoming Lenten and Easter seasons more meaningful. Copies of The Upper Room can be found in the rack at the back of the sanctuary, on the Third Street desk, and on the Market Street Hospitality Table. Please help yourself to a copy, and feel free to take a copy for a friend, neighbor, or relative. Audit Has Begun Treasurers of all groups within the church should note that the 2018 audit has begun. In order to prepare for the audit, please gather your books along with all bank statements from December 2017 - January 2019. Your records should be dropped off at the church office at your convenience as soon as possible. The audit committee thanks you for your support of completing the audit of last year s financial records in a timely manner. For additional information regarding the audit, contact the church office (570.784.1407). Ash Wednesday is coming on March 6, 2019 Mark your calendars, and join the Wesley congregation for worship that evening at 7 o clock.
