BRIEF ORDER FOR CONFESSION AND FORGIVENESS P In the name of the Father, and of the + Son, and of the Holy Spirit. C Amen P God of all mercy and consolation, come to the aid of your people, turning us from our sin to live for you alone. Give us the power of your Holy Spirit that, attentive to your Word, we may confess our sins, receive your forgiveness, and grow into the fullness of your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. C Amen P Let us confess our sin in the presence of God and of one another. P Most merciful God, C we confess that we are in bondage to sin and cannot free ourselves. We have sinned against you in thought, word, and deed, by what we have done and by what we have left undone. We have not loved you with our whole heart; we have not loved our neighbors as ourselves. For the sake of your Son, Jesus Christ, have mercy on us. Forgive us, renew us, and lead us, so that we may delight in your will and walk in your ways, to the glory of your holy name. Amen P God, who is rich in mercy, loved us even when we were dead in sin, and made us alive together with Christ. By grace you have been saved. In the name of Jesus Christ, your sins are forgiven. Almighty God strengthen you with power through the Holy Spirit, that Christ may live in your hearts through faith. C Amen

Oh, what a foretaste of glory divine! Heir of salvation, purchase of God, born of his Spirit, washed in his blood. This is my story, this is my song, praising my Savior all the day long: this is my story, this is my song, praising my Savior all the day long. GOSPEL: Acts 3:1-10 1 One day Peter and John were going up to the temple at the hour of prayer, at three o'clock in the afternoon. 2 And a man lame from birth was being carried in. People would lay him daily at the gate of the temple called the Beautiful Gate so that he could ask for
alms from those entering the temple. 3 When he saw Peter and John about to go into the temple, he asked them for alms. 4 Peter looked intently at him, as did John, and said, "Look at us." 5 And he fixed his attention on them, expecting to receive something from them. 6 But Peter said, "I have no silver or gold, but what I have I give you; in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, stand up and walk." 7 And he took him by the right hand and raised him up; and immediately his feet and ankles were made strong. 8 Jumping up, he stood and began to walk, and he entered the temple with them, walking and leaping and praising God. 9 All the people saw him walking and praising God, 10 and they recognized him as the one who used to sit and ask for alms at the Beautiful Gate of the temple; and they were filled with wonder and amazement at what had happened to him. P C The gospel of the Lord. Praise to you, O Christ. Grace our table with your presence, and give us a foretaste of the feast to come. WORDS OF INSTITUTION

An offering will be received to support the Bible placement ministry. 100% of the funds are used for Scripture. SOAP! No one likes to be dirty. Soap keeps hands clean, germs at bay and helps people present themselves with dignity. Those simple things are some of the very building blocks to success. LWR (Lutheran World Relief) accepts new bars of any brand soap in their original wrapping. All bar sizes are accepted; however, bath-size bars (4-5 oz.) are highly preferred. There is a need for bars of soap for LWR. WELCA attendees donate bars of soap throughout the year. They are asking for the rest of the congregation to participate by donating bars of soap. A basket is in the narthex (area at the top of the stairs entering the church sanctuary) to receive your donations. Soap donations need to be here by May 1 st. WELCA members are currently purchasing items for various kits for LWR. This is funded by donations made by the women of our church. THANK YOU to those who participated!
