LOVE GROW SERVE SHARE MARCH 2019

Dear Church Family... Fasting and praying are spiritual disciplines designed to help Christians seek God s face and listen to His voice. In the Bible, 40 days represents a period of preparation, transformation, and empowerment. The staff and I are calling our church family to join us for Devoted: 40 Days of Fasting and Praying Craig Christina (March 6 April 14) based on Acts 2:42-47. Each day, you Senior Pastor will receive via email or on our Facebook page a brief video explaining a biblical truth and thought for the day about which to pray. To overcome the distractions of everyday life, we invite you to fast from something for 40 days. I do not recommend a complete fast from food! Instead, consider fasting from one meal a day (if your doctor approves), sweets, TV, social media, video games, or one thing you are willing to give-up. The idea is to forfeit something as a reminder to turn instead to the Lord, read Scripture, pray, and listen. We are considering changing our worship format from two services to one, combined service. The primary consideration is the Lord s will. STBC is His church, and we only want to do His will. God is not a God of chaos, but unity and order. If every member truly seeks His will, rather than considers personal preferences, I believe He will lead the overwhelming majority to reach the same conclusion. What an adventurous journey! Anything can happen. The future is unclear. But one thing is certain: God holds the future. As long as we truly seek His will, whatever it may be, Shiloh Terrace will be a healthy, growing community connecting more and more people to Him! Your servant in Christ, Pastor Craig David Phelps in Concert Saturday, March 30 6:00-9:00 p.m. STBC Worship Center More info and ticket prices at outsidethebox.events/david-phelps or call 1.800.965.9324
