4. Be willing James 4:2 (NIV) 2 You want something but don't get it. You kill and covet, but you cannot have what you want. You quarrel and fight. You do not have, because you do not ask God. James 1:5-8 (NIV) 5 If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. 6 But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. 7 That man should not think he will receive anything from the Lord; 8 he is a double-minded man, unstable in all he does. 5. Be willing Psalm 77:19 (NIV) 19 Your path led through the sea, your way through the mighty waters, though your footprints were not seen. March 3, 2019 God is so Good Romans 8:9-17 (NIV) 9 You, however, are controlled not by the sinful nature but by the Spirit, if the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Christ. 10 But if Christ is in you, your body is dead because of sin, yet your spirit is alive because of righteousness. 11 And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit, who lives in you. 12 Therefore, brothers, we have an obligation--but it is not to the sinful nature, to live according to it. 13 For if you live according to the sinful nature, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live, 14 because those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. 15 For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship. And by him we cry, "Abba, Father." 16 The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God's children. 17 Now if we are children, then we are heirs--heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory. Psalm 23:3b (NIV) 3 He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake.. How does God guide me?

If God is going to lead me 1. I can t Romans 12:2 (NLT2) 2 Don t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect. 2. I can t 1 John 3:7 (NIV) 7 Dear children, do not let anyone lead you astray. He who does what is right is righteous, just as he is righteous. 3. I can t Deuteronomy 18:10-12 (NIV) 10 Let no one be found among you who sacrifices his son or daughter in the fire, who practices divination or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft, 11 or casts spells, or who is a medium or spiritist or who consults the dead. 12 Anyone who does these things is detestable to the LORD, and because of these detestable practices the LORD your God will drive out those nations before you. 4. I can t James 4:15 (NIV) 15 Instead, you ought to say, "If it is the Lord's will, we will live and do this or that." 5. I can t Isaiah 53:6a (NIV) 6 We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; Proverbs 14:12 (NIV) 12 There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death. How do I get God s guidance? 1. Be willing Psalm 40:8 (NIV) 8 I desire to do your will, O my God; your law is within my heart." 2. Be willing John 7:17 (CEV) 17 If you really want to obey God, you will know if what I teach comes from God or from me. 3. Be willing Psalm 119:105 (NIV) 105 Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path. A. God s will B. God s will
