WEDNESDAY EVENING BIBLE STUDY Join us this fall for the Wednesday Evening Bible Study. Our study will be First and Second Thessalonians. We meet on Wednesdays from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. starting Oct. 4 through Nov. 15. Like a tender shepherd, Paul wrote the letters of 1 & 2 Thessalonians to an early church community of believers he founded in Thessalonica, a huge city in Macedonia. These were friends he knew, loved, and missed. His purpose in writing was to thank them for their work of faith, their labor of love, and their continued hope in the Lord Jesus Christ... and His coming again. Paul was also eager to remind them of the example their faithfulness had been to those around them. His message can help all of us live out the Christian life today. To sign up: Contact Lalla Mangin at 706-467-0883 or biblestudypm.cokas@gmail.com. To assure that we have enough books, please let me know by Sept. 25. October is Respect Life month. The Respect Life committee will be doing the Baby Bottle Campaign starting Oct. 1 to benefit First Call Pregnancy Center in Greensboro. Bottles will be available in the narthex. Please take one, fill with cash or a check and return by Sunday, Oct. 29. Flowers adorning the Blessed Virgin Mary have been donated by Jim Collins for Mary s intercession for the cure of Breast Cancer.
