GUNS is the Senior Pastor of St. Paul Church of Jacksonville, Inc. where he has totally revived what was once a rigid, placid, traditional southern Baptist church into an oasis of FAITH, FELLOWSHIP and FUN. Through extremely innovative thinking and an approachable spirit, Dr. Guns has epitomized koinonia before this great congregation and has ultimately built an amazing community of worshipers. His love for worship is evident whenever the St. Paul family gathers! BISHOP KEVIN WALLACE is challenging long-held notions of church as usual. With a C h r i s t - c e n t e r e d mandate that crosses generational, racial and socio-economic barriers, Bishop Kevin is leading a generation in a pursuit of Christ-likeness and authentic spiritual awakening. His passionate and unique style of ministry blends relevant application of Bible truth with a powerful anointing for deliverance and breakthrough. With a vision to pastor the most loving church in America, Bishop Kevin is guided by a compassion for the lost, the marginalized and the broken. His Gospel message of hope and healing resonate with a generation hurting and disappointed by the setbacks of life. the RADICAL - March edition Page 3 of 8 The annual SPRING TEA is a kick off for our annual Women s Conference. The Spring Tea serves as a fundraiser for the Women s Ministries Department. This annual event has an attendance of approximately 300 women, dressed in their Spring dresses and hats. The Tea is a time of Fellowship, Style, and Grace, as the tables are beautifully decorated and ladies sit for tea and refreshments. This is a wonderful opportunity to invite family and friends to experience the joy of Christian fellowship. This year s theme is: HOLINESS 6 MOTHER/DAUGHTER BRUNCH hosted by RADgirls, is an encouraging, empowering, and an inspirational event that focuses on women and their bonds as mothers, daughters, sisters, and friends; while encouraging unity amongst us all. The M&D Brunch averages approximately 150 attendees. Theme for this year is: God is the Creator of all things, but His greatest piece of work is you and me. I like the way GOD created me! MOTHER OF THE YEAR Nomination forms located in the Church Lobby. Women s Conference The ENCOUNTER You Don t Want to Miss It! This weekend will be life changing, impactful, and a time for spiritual growth and development. It s a great opportunity to fellowship and interact with like-minded women seeking a genuine encounter with the LORD. T h i s e v e n t a v e r a g e s approximately 300 women. In conjunction with the Women s Conference, our RADgirls hosts its age appropriate workshops for young ladies ages 12-17. the RADICAL - March edition Page 4 of 8 Sunday, February 12, 2017 That even under the pressure of what everybody else is doing, our girls will stand up for the bloodstain banner of Jesus Christ. That s our goal, our purpose. They do not have to be a member of Radiant, we just want to pour in to the girls in our community. We presented Ella Moore Poitier, our RADgirls Girls Ministries Coordinator, with a plaque in appreciation for her many years of serving (since 2008). As Coordinator, Ella is charged with overseeing and administering (under Lady s direction) the operations of the Girls Ministry programs and activities. Titus 2:3-5: Older women likewise are to be reverent in their behavior, not malicious gossips, nor enslaved to much wine, teaching what is good, that they may encourage the young women to love their husbands, to love their children, to be sensible, pure, workers at home, kind, being subject to their own husbands, that the Word of God may not be dishonored. Rev Millicent Pelt delivered a profound message regarding God s instructions for the women on this International Girls Ministries Sunday. She briefed us a bit on the history of Girls Ministries, which began in 1969. I frequently tell people when we talk about Girls Club, it is the equivalent to Girl Scouts/ Brownies, but the Christian version-the Christian component of Girl Scouts and Brownies. Girls Ministries Purpose is to encourage our girls to grow in Christ; to develop personal character, abilities and skills; to provide Christian fellowship and recreation; and to teach our young girls to win their peers to Christ. Teaching them to go out and to witness to others and to bring them in to Christ. We want to make sure we re teaching them and teaching them right (teachings of good things). Because so often we hear about our girls being persuaded to be like someone that s not like Christ. We want to teach them so that when they go out on these campuses they can be bold for God and that they can rightly divide the Word of God. The Gleaner-Challenge funds raised will go towards the costs associated with the annual Mother/Daughter Brunch, as well as a portion going to the International Girls on a Mission project. We need QUARTERS to fill our GLEANERS. Mother of the Year Nomination forms can be found in the Church Lobby.

the RADICAL - March edition Page 5 of 8 We need women who will be willing to Rise up; to Stand up; and to Speak up for the things concerning God. And as we women take our rightful places, guess what; our girls will take their rightful places. If we are going to be holy, godly, reverent women, then we have got to have a relationship with the Lord, we gotta know Him - we gotta be in His presence. Which means we have got to open up His Word, read His Word and Study His Word and once we study His Word we have to take It and apply It to our lives. MODESTY Modest attire is a b o u t y o u r motivation, your attire reflects your mindset. Examine yourself in your secret place. RADgirls presented the Counselors, helpers and prayer mothers with a pink carnation; presenting Lady Pelt with a pink rose (symbolic of her being our rose ); an expression of their Appreciation and Gratitude. Thank you!

Sis Angela Leday, BlueBelles Counselor, greeted the girls and introduced the FUNDRAISER we would be doing as part of the International Girls Club Week. The young ladies sat attentively as she spoke, staring at all the desserts seating on the table in front of them. Special thanks to all who came out and assisted us. We appreciate your support of Girls Ministries.
