December 11 th, 2017 Page-2 The Public Hearing & November 27th, 2017 were declared approved as presented. COMMUNICATIONS: President Hayes states, I need to acknowledge tonight we as a Council have received the Encumbrance Master List for the year 2017. President Hayes states, I would like to take this opportunity to tell my colleagues it has been an honor to lead you this year; and we look forward to a happy and prosperous New Year for the City of Kokomo, and yourselves. Thank you for your service. Brett Colby states, I reside at 2102 Justice Lane Whitehouse Kokomo, Ind. states, I am the Football Coach of Kokomo. I have been here eleven years. I have had 28 years of service in the education field. I am proud to finally make it to the State Championship Game this year. I am proud that you as a Council honored us to come in, and be honored here in front of the City of Kokomo Leaders. We are excited to be here tonight. I would like to have all the starters come up, and talk, and give their information. I will introduce my Coaching staff, Brian Mikesell, Mike Miller, Ryan Wells, Coach Jacob Bough. I do have a number of other Coaches but none of them are here tonight. Coach Brett Colby states, I am just real proud of the adversity, and the challenges that this Football Team came thru, and over-came the season. The regional game in Zionsville was amazing. We are down 21 to nothing five minutes into the game; and then we are able to come back, and score 33 points, and win that game on the road. Then we came home, and in front of a great crowd, and won the Semi State Game. I think we represented our Town, and City well in Lucas Oil Stadium.

December 11 th, 2017 Page-3 Cont. Communications. I thank our fans that came-out, and supported us. I am proud of our kids, and our fans. It was a good group of guys to be around. It made it a lot of fun this year. President Hayes stated, I talked to the Mayor, and he had another engagement tonight. He has been a supporter all year. We expect to see you back next year; but a little bit different number 1. You have done something that that you will remember for the rest of your life. You will talk about it to your grandchildren, and to your children. Brett Colby states, I would like my four Captains to come up, Nathan Pine, Luke Cameron, Noah Hurlock, and Kyle Wade. Kyle Wade states, I am #7. I play quarterback. I am going to attend Purdue University next year. President Hayes states, we are so very proud of you winning the Mental Attitude Award, and that s not just what you did on the field; but what you do in the community, and your school, and at home. We are all proud of you. Nathan Pine states, I am #70. I am an Offensive Tackle for Kokomo, and, I am planning to attend Ball State. Noah Hurlock states, I am #43. Middle Line Backer, and I have not decided where I am going to college yet. Luke Cameron states, I am #14. Defensive Back, and Running back. I have not decided where I am going to college yet; but somewhere to play football.

December 11 th, 2017 Page-4 Cont. Communications. Coach Brett Colby states, will the rest of the Seniors come-up. They are as follows: Colt Munsey #18, Anthony Fox #79, Kaijon East #87, Aeden Ligon #72, Antonio Jones #1. I I will have the Starters, and Juniors come-up here. Rylee Burnett #10., Noah Cameron #8. Coach Brett Colby states, just last Monday we were recognized at the Board, and we had about 97% of our kids there. I told them until we get together five to ten years from now we will remember that we went to the State in 2017. This will probably be the last time you guys as a group are this much together. Life goes on, and one of the things I told them before the game was if we win this game it is going to be a short lived win; but in years from now when you come back, and people ask what you did; I played in the State Champion Ship Game with Kokomo High School. President Hayes states, I would ask that the rest of the Team standup and be recognized. Thank you Coach. There were no committee reports given at this regular meeting. ORDINANCE 6874: AN ORDINANCE VACATING RIGHT- OF-WAY LOCATED IN THE CITY OF KOKOMO, INDIANA Second reading Ordinance 6874 was read by the Clerk by title only. He wanted to go ahead, and take over that alley-way, and use it for incorporation of his business. Vote for passage follows: Aye: All Nay: None The vote was 8 to 0 for passage on second reading.
