2 PASTOR S PAGE Since moving to this area, I ve come across three letters frequently: L G S. Most often this stands for Let s Go Spartans! and is said with great passion and enthusiasm. (My apologies to any Wolverines fans reading this.please keep reading, I think you ll approve of my suggestions) As we move into 2019, I d like to suggest that we really take time to focus on L G S, even to the point of writing the letters down in key places to remind you of their meaning: Loving Growing Serving We who name Christ as our Lord are to be known for our love; our love for God and our love for neighbor. But you shall love the Lord your God with your heart, mind, and soul and you shall love your neighbor as you love yourself. Luke 10:27 We who name Christ as our Lord are to known for growing in our faith, which also includes helping others to grow in their faith. But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. II Peter 3:18 We who name the Christ as our Lord are to be known for our service to God and to others. Serve the Lord with gladness. Psalm 100:2, Anyone who wants to be first, must be the very last and the servant of all. Mark 9:35 Let s Get Serious about our faith. Let s be known for our Loving, Growing, and Serving.
