I never had the privilege to meet her in person; I only knew her briefly thru FB. She was instrumental in saving a dog from the Sherman Animal Shelter that now is a beloved member of my family. She worked so hard to make sure Mila (she used to be called Carmella) got adopted. She would get other dogs rescued so Mila could have her spot. I will never forget the day that I was just randomly scanning FB and saw the post about Mila. After we saved her I contacted Rhonda and thanked her and let her know how Mila was doing. What a wonderful and caring woman Rhonda was. Heaven definitely has an amazing angel there now. I wish I could have met her and hugged her and thanked her in person for all she did for all the animals. Once again, my condolences go out to all of Rhonda's family and friends. LAURIE BIGGS, DECEMBER 17, 2016 I know you are in Heaven caring for all the fur babies that were waiting for you. You were one of the most selfless people I've ever known and saved so many lives. LETICIA BOTKIN, JUNE 10, 2015 If all of the animals you have helped save and rescue could put pen to paper, I would imagine they would say, 'Loving you my rescue friend is easy, we do it every day! But missing you my rescue friend, is a heartache that never goes away! THUMPER ZARATE, JUNE 9, 2015 Though I have not had the opportunity to meet you, I have followed your rescue work. A fellow rescuer/foster/volunteer I appreciate more than words could ever say how much that has meant to all of us but most especially to the animals. Thank you for all you have done. You will dearly be missed but not forgotten. RIP now... the animals are waiting for you at the Bridge...
SILVANA SMITH, JUNE 9, 2015 Rhonda your loss has been felt deeply and sorrowfully in the animal rescue world. The great ones are always taken too soon from us. God needed some extra help above to continue taking care of all the animals that are waiting in Heaven. PAULA LUCAS, JUNE 9, 2015 I will always love you and miss you Rhonda. Our friendship meant a lot to me. Through animal rescue we found we had so much in common, more than animals and rescue. Our lives paralleled in so many ways we often laughed about how much alike we were. I know you are at peace, taking care of all the animals that are there and that gives me some comfort at least. You were taken too soon and you will be missed by so many here. Sending prayers to your family. You and your family will be in my family's thoughts and prayers. RIP and know you were loved by so many. SUSAN FAYE THIBAULT, JUNE 9, 2015 The loss of Rhonda is huge, not only to her family, but to the rescue world. The thousands of lives saved and the time put into saving each and every one, did not go unnoticed. She is a hero to many. May God comfort those left behind, especially Destiny and her husband. Words could never express what she meant to so many, including those neglected and injured animals that she saved. We will carry on her mission in her honor. Thank you Rhonda for all you have done on Earth. Now you can rest in the Good Lord's arms. You're hard work will continue. SHELLY CHESSER, JUNE 9, 2015 To my deeply adored rescue sister...i miss you already. You were such an inspiration with the biggest heart and best intentions. You saved so many furry lives and set a true example for what animal rescue devotion should be. You were a wonderful mother to Destiny and it brought a smile to my face each time you would talk about her as I could just hear the pride and love in your voice. There is a huge void without you and many are finding ways to honor your memory to help ease the pain. We love you, remember you and will
always strive to make you proud. I love you sweet friend. Rest easy now.? KAMIE MCALLISTER, JUNE 9, 2015 There is a huge void in the rescue world with your passing, but what a celebration at the Rainbow Bridge! Your two and four legged friends will miss you dearly. KATHLEEN HIGGINS, JUNE 9, 2015 I will miss you very much, you were a savior of animals of all kinds. If I were up late at night I could always count on you to be there saving all you can.
