This book is a brilliant help to understand more in depth about the differences between the translations and why. 9 of 11 people found the following review helpful. Great collection of evidence! By James L. Gray Dr. Moorman has done a masterful job collecting the evidence to support the superiority of the Received Text and KJV! He shows in the 454 pages that the wealth of support comes from the manuscripts, church fathers, and different versions to testify to, again, the vast superiority of our Received Text as given in the KJV. This refutes the claim that there is not good support to hold to the superiority of that text. It is very technical reading but worth the time if you need proof instead of repeating old worn-out expressions that you cannot rely upon the manuscript support for the KJV. Rivera...the way it is formatted and organized, it is very time consuming to understand it. It specifically uses the NIV to contrast the KJV as far as what passages are being removed or altered from the Bible, since it is the worst translation; except for The Message, which is considered a paraphrase. From a publishing point of view, a lot of empty space here that could have been utilized to make this better. Don't get me wrong, there is plenty of information here that goes a long way in proving that the Vaticanus and Sinaiticus Codex are not the oldest manuscripts- but it takes some digging to get to.
