April 7, 2019 10:15 a.m. ORGAN PRELUDE Randy Woods, Minister of Worship & Music WELCOME Don Pullen, Associate Pastor CALL TO WORSHIP Neal Clarke (Coquina) *SING GOD S PRAISE Hymn #605 And Can It Be
AFFIRMATION OF OUR FAITH The Nicene Creed We believe in one God, the Father almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible. And in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, begotten from the Father before all ages, God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made; of the same essence as the Father. Through him all things were made. For us and for our salvation he came down from heaven; he became incarnate by the Holy Spirit and the virgin Mary, and was made human. He was crucified for us under Pontius Pilate; he suffered and was buried. The third day he rose again, according to the Scriptures. He ascended to heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again with glory to judge the living and the dead. His kingdom will never end. And we believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life. He proceeds from the Father and the Son, and with the Father and the Son is worshiped and glorified. He spoke through the prophets. We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic church. We affirm one baptism for the forgiveness of sins. We look forward to the resurrection of the dead, and to life in the world to come. Amen. Hymn #583 Jesus Paid It All
PRAYER OF PRAISE & PETITION Don Pullen, Associate Pastor GIVING OF OUR TITHES AND OFFERINGS PIANO OFFERTORY Janice Peoples (Eagles Preserve) OUR BLOODY HISTORY Andy Hawkins, Senior Pastor THE LORD S SUPPER CHORAL MINISTRY Bread of Life J. Raney At this table, Lord, we lay our burdens down; at your feet we humbly kneel to pray. At the foot of the cross, we contemplate the cost as we share this feast today. Lord, break your bread of life for me; feed my hunger, Set my spirit free; pour out your grace on me. Lord, fill my cup from the fountain of your love. Open my eyes that I might see; break your bread of life, Lord, for me. At this table, Lord, we renew our strength;
from this cup we drink of boundless grace. Teach us, Lord, how to share the bounty of your care when we leave this holy place. We worship you, Lord of might and majesty. We pray for your guidance from above. We remember the sacrifice on Calvary. We thank you for your never-ending love. *SING GOD S PRAISE Hymn #445 There Is a Fountain Hymn#188 Man of Sorrows! Join friends as you view God s Not Dead 3 A Light in Darkness. Even in life's darkest valleys, a small flame can light the way toward healing and hope. After a deadly fire rips through St. James Church, Hadleigh University leaders use the tragedy to push the congregation off campus, forcing the church to defend its rights and bringing together estranged brothers to address issues that pulled them apart. We see how even with the tragic loss of life God used it for good.
UPCOMING TOUR: Is a faith-building visit to the Holy Land on your bucket list?
