A Message from Pastor Troy In Luke 18:1 Jesus made a bold and instructive statement, when he said, men are always to pray. One of the great disciplines of the Christian faith is prayer. Prayer is key in our relationship to God. I want to mention a couple things in regard to prayer. First of all, prayer moves God. Solomon asked the Lord if your blessing were ever to dry up and pestilence was released in the land, what were I to do? In 2 Chronicles 7:14 says If my people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. In Luke 18 it tells the story of the lady that kept pestering the judge. It was her importunes that moved the evil judge on her behalf. And of course, in Matthew 7:7-8, Jesus said, Ask, and it shall be given to you; seek, and ye shall find, knock, and it shall be opened unto you. As you can see, it is our praying that moves God. Prayer not only moves God it moves us. Jesus the man, in the garden of Gethsemane prayed 3 times that the cup of suffering would pass by him. His praying did not move God. His praying moved Him toward the will of God. The Apostle Paul prayed and asked God 3 times to remove his thorn in the flesh. God said I won t, but my grace is sufficient. God wasn t moved to where Paul was. Paul through prayer was moved to where God was. I think we will discover that when we pray, there are times when God moves on our behalf but just as much our praying will move us to where He is. Lastly prayer moves us all toward the work of the harvest. Jesus said the harvest is plenteous, but the laborers are few. Pray to the Lord of the harvest that he would send workers into the field. Prayer will mobilize the church to the task at hand. Prayer will move the heart of the believer towards the harvest of souls. I want to challenge Life Change Church in the month of July to create a month of prayer. Let us pray that God will move toward us and that we will move toward God and specifically that we all are moved toward the soul of man. - Pastor Troy Ervin

Praying for Revival 21 - Prayer Walking Todd Kritzwiser, Elder Revival = An Awakening! We need that! I long for that! Our families need it. Our neighbors need it. Our villages and cities need it and I believe God is ready to do it! There s an old hymn that says these words, Sweeping this way, Yes, Sweeping this way. A Mighty Revival is sweeping this way. Keep on believing, trust and obey. A mighty Revival is sweeping this way! We need an Awakening! There is little doubt that we are living in a day of godlessness. A day, where people are choosing their own desires over Gods. A time when many people have no clue who God is or know anything about His Son, Jesus. His name has become nothing more than a curse word to many. We are living in the last days. 2 Timothy 3 says, "But know this, that in the last days, perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without selfcontrol, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power." Wow! That sure sounds like today! But even in the middle of all this mess, there is GOOD news! God said to the Prophet Joel, "And it shall come to pass afterward That I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh;" and then He says this wonderful statement, "And it shall come to pass that whoever calls on the name of the LORD Shall be saved." How exciting is that? The Whoever, could be your spouse, your son or daughter! Whoever, could be your neighbors and friends! God is going to pour out His Spirit on YOU to be a witness and people are going to be saved! Praise the Lord! We are believing that God is going to use us, Life Change Church, to bring about Revival! An awakening that will spread far and wide. For the month of July we are asking you to start Prayer Walking. Begin walking, biking or driving through your neighborhoods, your villages and cities, praying and claiming that every house you pass, every family is going to come to know Jesus Christ. We are believing that souls ARE going to be saved! God said to Joshua in chapter 1:3 Every place that the sole of your foot will tread upon I have given you So get out there and walk this month! Walk and pray! I believe that God is about to turn this place upside down!

Vacation Bible School, 2018: Shipwrecked! Penny Baldwin, Children's Pastor The week was filled with an overwhelming, palpable energy! Each night, children entered our church building with anticipation and excitement. The sanctuary was filled with joy and singing, as the leaders and children belted out lyrics while unashamedly doing all the motions to each praise and worship song. As I traveled around the campus checking in on each group and station, an amazing joy filled my heart. In the Imagination Station, kids experimented and discovered hands-on how Jesus Rescues even when you are worried or lonely, or when you do wrong. They received their Bible buddy dog tags as a visual and tactile reminder of each night s memory verse. In the Tropical Treats room, the kids munched on yummy snacks while watching a Kid Vid cinema movie clip of reallife kids sharing their testimonies and how Jesus has rescued them or used them to help rescue others. They had meaningful discussions with their crews about how this directly relates to their life. At the Game station outside in the grass, the kids worked together to play and compete in fun activities that only reinforced the Bible point for the night. I witnessed older children helping and guiding younger ones, encouraging them through the game. In the Bible Discovery room in City Park, the kids gathered with their crews to actively participate in Bible stories. They learned motions to bible verses to help hide these truths in their hearts.at every station, crew leaders were loving on kids, joking with them, listening intently to their answers and ideas, and just ultimately showing the love of Jesus, personally, to each child. Talk about a beautiful stroll through our church! God was here at our VBS. He moved on the hearts of the leaders and children, blessing us all. At our Sail Away Send-off gatherings at the end of each night, children responded to the call to salvation and prayed at the altar. Kids went home having learned bible truths, memorized scripture and songs, and hearing repeatedly that God loves them and Jesus Rescues! We are also proud of our children for bringing in over $1200 for the Orphanage at Open Door Haiti for building repairs. The kids also brought in over 400 highlighters for Grace Ready Fest in August. Truly amazing! It was also fun to see Pastor get slimed with sloth snot! What an amazing week filled with God s goodness! Thank you to all of our faithful volunteers for making this event a reality and investing in the future: our children. We are delighted that there were so many children from our community in attendance and hope to see them and their families at services it the future.
Pre-Teen Campout By: Penny Baldwin, Children's Pastor The Preteens of Life Change Church gathered in June for a Summer Campout Pool Party! Eighteen 4th-7th graders met at the home of our Children s Pastor, Ms. Penny, for fun and friendship building. There were several firsts and many awesome experiences. A few kids played their first game of kickball! One boy braved sleeping in a tent for the first time, once we reassured him there weren t any bears roaming the Milford suburbs. Several kiddos pushed through fear and homesickness and proudly stayed through the night. Lots of children participated in their first diving board, biggest splash contest. The event also included gooey s mores and quiet reflection around the campfire, morning prayer and devotions lead by our amazing Life Change Kids leaders, plenty of laughter, an epic water balloon fight, and lots of coffee for the adults. We are thankful we had a chance to celebrate with our new seventh graders and send them off to youth group with a joyful memory. We also enjoyed welcoming the fourth graders into the preteen small groups and giving them the opportunity to get to know their new small group leaders. Everyone, kids and adults, all left tired and happy. Photograph by Francis Watson KONECT MAGAZINE 62
Nothing is Impossible for God I would like to wish everyone a safe and fun filled summer. It is very noticeable that summer is officially here with all the missing teens in youth group. lol Even with low numbers, God is still faithful as we had one teen who was saved in our Youth Service last month. The bible says that there is joy in heaven over one sinner who repents. As a youth group we rejoice with those who have given their life to Christ. Let us never forget that NOTHING is IMPOSSIBLE for God. As we continue to experience the power and presence of the Holy Spirit it is incredible to see the lives of teenagers being changed. For all the ones who By: Justin Kritzwiser, Youth Pastor are praying for our youth ministry we would like to say thank you and please continue! It is evident that your prayers are being answered. The world tells us that we need so much get the right job and you ll be happy, get the right car and you ll be happy, maybe if you get the right guy or girl you will be happy. So many times in life we are seeking after the wrong things. If we would put our energy into deepening our relationship with Jesus, we would have everything we could ever need in life. Matthew 6:33 says, But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness and all these things will be added to you. How much more would we truly experience if we would first seek HIS kingdom? How hard is it for you to trust Jesus words in this verse? Let s work on this together! Life Change Youth would like to recognize worship leader and Youth Staff member Gabe Kritzwiser for such a great night of worship and word. The last Wednesday of every month a youth staff member presents the word and Gabe did such an awesome job. We are very blessed and honored to have Gabe as a part of our youth group. Let us all continue to be used by God.
