This Week at BRPC April 4, 2019 Building Relationships with People in Christ Dear Friends, One of the most important moments in my discerning God s Call for me to be a minister was when Rev. Forest Ford, my minister at First Presbyterian Church of Lancaster, KY concluded his sermon one Sunday with the following quote from Albert Schweitzer. It was almost like being struck by lightning. I knew with great certainty what God was calling me to do. Christ comes to us as One unknown, without a name, as of old, by the lake-side; He came to those men who knew Him not. He speaks to us the same word: Follow thou me! and sets us to the tasks which He has to fulfill for our time. He commands. And to those who obey Him, whether they be wise or simple, He will reveal Himself in the toils, the conflicts, the sufferings which they shall pass through in His fellowship, and, as an ineffable mystery, they shall learn in their own experience Who He is. *Albert Schweitzer, Quest for the Historical Jesus This Sunday "Sowing in Tears Rev. Dr. Ron Galvin As we continue our journey through Lent, may we continue to answer the call Follow thou me! Yours in Christ, Isaiah 43: 16-21 Psalm 126 Ron

April 7, 2019 9:15AM Breakfast Snacks 9:30AM Sunday School K-4th graders - This workshop is all about getting God s message. As children explore Jonah s actions and feelings, they will see that Jonah apparently did not get God s message of mercy and compassion for ALL who turn back to God. They will learn that Jonah was more interested in the death of a tree than the salvation of a whole city of people. Children will use what they know about Jonah to write an ending to the Biblical story. Our family would like to thank all at BRPC for all your thoughts and prayers during our mother's battle with Alzheimer's. She loved her God and church family. In her time at the church, she enjoyed participating in different aspects of the church. When she was unable to leave home and may not recognize you, she enjoyed visits from the church and especially at Christmas when the choir sang Christmas carols to her. We would also like to thank those who attended her memorial service, it was greatly appreciated. Blessings To You...
