Departing on Easter Sunday, the 8-day pilgrimage includes the Vatican, Rome, Assisi, Venice and San Giovanni Rotondo, in southern Italy, to see the Shrine of St. Padre Pio. MARY S TEAM FOR BEST BUDDIES WALK Best Buddies is an international charity providing fellowship and employment opportunities for those with Down Syndrome, autism and related intellectual disabilities. This is done through student chapters at many area schools, including Bishop Ireton, Bishop O Connell and Georgetown Visitation. On October 21, at 8 a.m. on the National Mall in Washington, DC (3rd Street SW and Madison Street), Best Buddies will host its annual Friendship Walk, open to everyone.
