Alaska Ministry Network: Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen. Eph. 3:20-21, NKJV This year our Network Conference will be held in Anchorage, April 24-27. We will be celebrating 100 years of Assemblies of God Ministries in Alaska, featuring Missions. The theme will be, Beyond100. The host church is MCA, with Pastor Redfearn and his staff. Our speakers will be: National AGUSM Director Zollie Smith, National AGWM Director Greg Mundis, AKMN Assistant Superintendent Gary Morton, AGWM Missionary Jeff Nelson, TGM Director Ron Pratt, AGUSM Missionary Jim Schulz and I will speak for the Ordination service on Thursday evening. We will begin Network Conference on Monday with a missions banquet at the Dena ina Center, located at 600 W. Seventh Ave, in Anchorage. We are expecting a great night as we highlight AGUSM, AGWM and Alaska Missions. Everyone is invited and encouraged to attend. There will be a charge of $30 per person. For $300 you may purchase a table for 10 people. After April 15th, your cost will be $35 per person. Please designate your check: Missions Banquet. There is more info in this packet concerning how to purchase tickets and parking availability. At the banquet, we will be asking you to partner with us financially by supporting our Beyond100 Project. The project this year will feature a new church in Fort Yukon. The existing church building is over 65 years old. U.S. Missionaries Jeremiah and Sharnay Niemuth have faithfully served the community for over 10 years. Their ministry is truly worthy of prayer and financial support. I want to encourage you to talk with your church board beforehand and come ready to give a generous offering and pledge. We appreciate the partnership. In the Tuesday and Thursday evening services, we will receive an offering to cover our conference expenses. Most districts/networks have gone to a registration fee to help offset their cost; however, we deeply value your financial partnership in this conference endeavor and prefer for you and your church to give as you are directed by the Lord. For your convenience, you may send a pre-conference offering. Designate your check Conference Offering or you may go to our website to make a credit card donation. If you are unable to attend this year, please consider supporting the Conference by sending an offering. Your personal financial support and the financial support of your church will be a tremendous blessing to our Ministry Network as we plan to have a meaningful event while we gather for Network Business. On Wednesday evening, we will receive an Assemblies of God World Missions offering. The Assemblies of God is a missions organization and we believe that Pentecost and Missions go hand in hand. Come prepared to give a generous offering to help World Missions spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ around the world. I m praying that all of you will be able to attend the grand Beyond100 Celebration. I look forward to our fellowship time together. Please have your local congregations and prayer groups pray for our conference meetings. Believe with me that God will do great things in our midst. Come expecting and ready to receive a fresh touch of the anointing of the Holy Spirit. I appreciate your labor of love and sacrifice you make for the Kingdom of God. #Beyond100 #North2TheFuture Bill Welch, Superintendent

Speaker Biographies Dr. Zollie Smith Executive Director, Assemblies of God U.S. Missions Featured Speaker for the Missions Banquet and AGUSM Service Zollie L. Smith, Jr., was elected executive director of Assemblies of God U.S. Missions at the 52nd General Council in August 2007. He is a member of the Executive Leadership Team and Executive Presbytery. Smith coordinates the ministries of seven departments: Chaplaincy Ministries; Chi Alpha Campus Ministries, U.S.A.; Intercultural Ministries; Missionary Church Planters and Developers; U.S. MAPS; Teen Challenge International, U.S.A.; and Youth Alive. Currently, there are more than 950 missionaries and more than 600 endorsed chaplains serving under AGUSM, with 5,000 other related field personnel. Prior to leading U.S. Missions, Smith served as the executive presbyter representing the Ethnic Fellowships and as president of the National Black Fellowship. He served the New Jersey District Council of the Assemblies of God as assistant superintendent (1998 2002) and as executive secretary (2005 07). Smith served as pastor of Eternal Life Christian Center (ELCC) of the Assemblies of God, Somerset, New Jersey for 15 years. During his pastorate, the church grew to more than 300 members and completed a $2 million educational enrichment center. Prior to ELCC, Smith pioneered a church that later became Plainfield Assembly of God, a New Jersey district affiliate church. Smith holds a master's degree in business management with emphasis on nonprofit organizations from Regent University, a bachelor's degree in criminology and criminal justice from Florida State University, an associate of arts degree from St. Petersburg Jr. College, a diploma in ministerial studies from Berean Bible College, and was awarded an honorary doctorate in theology from Northwest University, Kirkland, WA, in 2008. Smith has spent his life in service as a former police officer/detective, U.S. Postal Inspector, and Airborne infantryman in the Vietnam War where he was awarded the Purple Heart and Bronze Star. Dr. Greg Mundis Executive Director, Assemblies of God World Missions Featured Speaker for the Missions Banquet and AGWM Service As executive director of AGWM, Greg Mundis provides leadership for 2,778 AG missionaries and associates serving in 255 countries, territories and provinces. After high school, Greg enrolled at Youngstown State University to study political science, but his plans soon changed. At a Sunday evening church service, he was praying at the altar when he sensed God s call to ministry. A message in tongues and interpretation confirmed God s plan for his life. Greg transferred to Central Bible College in Springfield, Missouri, and graduated with a bachelor s degree in biblical studies. While listening to a description of the spiritual needs in Austria, Greg felt an overwhelming burden for the nation and its people. In response to God s call, the Mundises were appointed as missionaries to Austria and arrived in Salzburg in 1980. While learning German, they quickly became involved in church planting, media and education. In 1987, Greg cofounded an international church, Vienna Christian Center, and served as pastor for four years. The church has since grown into a flourishing congregation of more than 1,800 people meeting in several locations throughout the city.
Greg was named area director for Central Europe in 1991. When AGWM made the Europe region a distinct entity in 1998, Greg was selected as its first regional director. For the next 13 years he developed strategies to increase ministries to the region s cities, campuses and children and helped raise awareness of the culturally diverse communities created by the swell of immigrants coming to the region. He also initiated greater communication among missionaries involved in similar ministries across Europe by providing opportunities for them to network and exchange ideas. In 2011, he was elected as AGWM executive director. Greg, teaming with the AGWM Executive Committee, is focusing on the future by emphasizing global partnerships, the suffering church, and unreached people groups. In addition to a bachelor s degree, Greg earned a master s degree in theology from Assemblies of God Theological Seminary in Springfield and a doctorate in ministry from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in South Hamilton, Massachusetts. He and Sandie have two children and eight grandchildren.
