Joyful Noise A Message from Your Pastor... APRIL 2017 Dear Friends of Trinity, Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends. (John 15:13) How many of us can say that we have been loved like that? Have you ever had someone laid down his or her life for you? Now that would be a really great friend! What a friend we have in Jesus, all our sins and grieves to bear! What a privilege to carry everything to God in prayer! O what peace we often forfeit; O what needless pain we bear all because we do not carry everything to God in Prayer! Of course we do have such a Great Friend! It is Jesus who showed the greatest love of all. Once again during this Lenten season, we focus on the great love and sacrifice of Jesus in a much focused way. His love was beyond great because He was willing to suffer the very punishment of hell for us all! Because of this, we are free from that terrible judgment. Thank God! As the familiar hymn reminds us in the verse I quoted above, we have a great privilege to carry everything to this Great Friend in prayer. I want to take this opportunity to encourage you to take some important things to the Lord in prayer right now! You may want to use the ACTS model to direct your prayers. This model is summarized in this month s newsletter for your use. If you are struggling with what to pray for, here is a starter list for you to consider and I hope that you will add to it yourself: Pray: for your unbelieving friend - that he or she may come to know Jesus as their Savior too for God s blessings of contentment - for those who struggle to be satisfied for our Church - that all of our members would be growing in faith daily for our School - that our Kindergarten class would be fully enrolled for class in August for those who are sick in our congregation and among their family and friends for our nation - that we could be united and move forward in peace and faithfulness to God for Billings - that the Lord would bless our town with growth, safety, and prosperity for the youth of our congregation - who are preparing for the servant event in New York for this year s Vacation Bible School - that families will be blessed with God s Word for this summer s trip to Cross Lake, Manitoba - that it would bring blessings for the new members of our Congregation - that they would truly find a home here for all the staff of our Church and School - for wisdom and joy in carrying out their duties Please bring these and other petitions to our Great Friend who carried all our sins and grieves and won for us salvation! In His service and yours, Pastor Dan Rinderknecht Knowing Christ and Making Him Known

School and YOUTH NEWS ENROLLMENT IS HAPPENING NOW! Rick Thomas Greetings and spread the word! We are preparing for the 2017-2018 school year. I just met a family that moved here from Pennsylvania. They were out shopping for their new school. They came to our school because they saw us on the website. I asked them why they were checking our school out. They said they were coming from a Christian school in Pennsylvania, and they wanted to continue with a Christian school. They said it was important to their family that their children be grounded in Christ s Word. They wanted their children to be able to defend their faith in a society that doesn t put much importance on faith. They said they wanted a school that supported what the family taught at home. They said they wanted a school that expected the children to use the gifts that the Lord had given them as a blessing. I said, Welcome to our family here at Trinity Lutheran School. If you, or someone you know, are also looking for these things, please stop by for a visit! Rick Thomas, Principal of Trinity Lutheran School MATCHBOX MATTERS (Flicker, Flame, and Fire Youth Groups) Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Your continued support and partnership through the Adopt-the-Envelope fundraiser and Butter Braids sales have not gone unnoticed and we are so thankful for you! As of Sunday, March 19, you have partnered with us to the tune of over $4,600 through the envelopes alone!!! Please continue to pray for our preparations and join us Easter Sunday for the Easter Brunch. SAVE THE DATES FOR VBS Vacation Bible School is June 12-16 at Trinity Lutheran School. Be on the lookout for more information about signing up your child, volunteering to help, and providing support through donated items. This year we will focus on how we are Created by God, built for a purpose! YOUTH EVENTS FOR APRIL FLICKER: Saturday, April 8 2:00-4:30 pm Photos from FIRE s Mystery Dinner on March 17th!
