Hope Lutheran Church 4131 Lehigh Drive, Cherryville, PA 18035-030 (610) 767-7203 hopecherryville.org October 26, 2014 Reformation Sunday On this day we celebrate the heart of our faith: the gospel of Christ the good news that makes us free! Though we give thanks for the events of the sixteenth-century Reformation that brought renewal to the church of that time, we pray that the Holy Spirit would continue to unite the church today in its proclamation and witness to the world. In the waters of baptism we are made one body; we pray for the day that all Christians will also be one at the Lord's table. CHURCH STAFF Pastor Rev. Invite members of your family children, parents, grandparents, partners, close friends to join you on your faith journey through the synod s Youth, Young Adult and Family Ministry Team Family Faith Challenges. Pastor Louise Williams Biography Greetings from Bangor, PA, where I live since "retiring" in 2009. As you realize, that retirement didn't last very long. I will be serving Hope Church as your Visitation Pastor, and may see you occasionally on a Sunday morning. I am also serving at a very small Lutheran church in Martins Creek, on Rte. 611 above Easton. On most Sunday mornings, I lead the service there. My family consists of a daughter, Lisa, her husband, Barry, and her two daughters, Melissa and Allison. Melissa is married and has a son, Riley, so I'm a great- grandmother. Melissa lives in upstate New York, so visits are not nearly as frequent as I would like. Some of the positions held in the past years include serving as an organist/choir director in many local churches. I also taught private music lessons on accordion, piano and organ, and played accordion with bands in the Pocono resorts. My first call as an ordained pastor was in Nebraska, where I served for five years. The next call was to a parish in Sunbury, PA., and that lasted almost ten years. Retirement was supposedly next, but it's obvious, I guess, that it hasn't turned out as expected. However, I am looking forward to getting to know the members of Hope Lutheran Church as I visit you whenever the need arises. I'll be visiting a Sunday morning service sometime in November, and will have the opportunity to meet many members personally. See you soon, at worship, I "hope". Blessings, Pastor Louise Williams
