The beginning of a new Adult Sunday School organization is only days away. The end of the old organization will be Sunday, April 15 and the beginning of the new one will be Sunday, April 22. As Brother John has worked to establish the new organization there has been a tremendous response of workers and leaders. To God be the Glory! Thank you, thank you, thank you for such a great response!! When I think of Leon Kilbreth s statement, Church members must have a whatever it takes attitude to see their church grow, I see a demonstration of that spirit among you. As you Wayne Robertson know, leaders are a requirement but so are followers. No one actually leads until somebody Pastor follows. Here is the all-important question for every member of Morningside s Sunday School: What can I do as one member to help make my new class the best ever? I suggest to you the following: Pray for your new class teacher and coordinator. Commit to attend your new class every Sunday for four consecutive weeks. Talk up your new class with enthusiasm to others. Enthusiasm is contagious. Invite those you know who do not attend Sunday School to come with you. Volunteer to help your teacher and outreach leader contact prospects and absentees. Pray for the Holy Spirit to work through all of His people throughout the church. I am more than grateful for God s blessings. Continue to pray with me for an unusual work of the Holy Spirit. Until He does, it is our responsibility to continue serving Him to the best of our ability. I love all of you and count it an unspeakable joy to serve the Lord with you. THE LIFTER OF MY HEAD 1 Lord, how are they increased that trouble me! Many are they that rise up against me. 2 Many there be which say of my soul, there is no help for him in God. Selah. 3 But thou, O Lord, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head. 4 I cried unto the Lord with my voice, and he heard me out of his holy hill. Selah. 5 I laid me down and slept; I awaked; for the Lord sustained me. 6 I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people, That have set themselves against me round about. 7 Arise, O Lord; save me, O my God: For thou hast smitten all mine enemies upon the cheek bone; Thou hast broken the teeth of the ungodly. 8 Salvation belongeth unto the Lord: Thy blessing is upon thy people. Selah. Psalm 3:1-8 (KJV) David Tew The Lord is so good to His children. I would think many of you reading this truly believe this truth. I am reminded of my experience in North Korea with the Sons of Jubal as we were permitted to sing Thou O Lord as part of their international music festival. We referenced the song title as The Lifter of My Head. If we could only understand how much our Lord loves us, this passage would take on new meaning. He wants to lift our head. He wants to protect us from those who would desire to bring us down. He wants to put aside our fears. Learn to lean on Him today and He will direct your path! YOUTH: Your next payment of $100 for the Summer Beach Camp is due on May 6 th. I am praying for a revival like we have never seen to begin with our youth. I believe God will do a work in our lives if we would seek His face. Because He Lives, Brother David Deadline for the second payment of $100 is May 6 Final payment due June 3, 2018
