I Samuel 7:12 Ebenezer Lutheran Church The Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod 9100 Highway YY - Port Hudson Leslie, Missouri 63056 Rev. William F. Zastrow, Pastor Ruth Marschel, Organist Kyle Kormeier and Kelly Stone (Grandchildren), Duet AS WE GATHER: Thus far the Lord has helped us. That is the literal meaning of Ebenezer. From this passage of Scripture this congregation was named 169 years ago. As a life long member of Ebenezer Lutheran Church it is a fitting passage for Jim and also for Babs and their loving family. Our Lord with His Grace through Jesus Christ has helped Jim to overcome the obstacles this life and to live his life with the loving, kindness and generosity we all came to appreciate. We place our trust in our Risen Savior and His perfect love that drives out all fear and gives us hope and peace in his Kingdom. Most assuredly the Lord was Jim s Ebenezer.
