HISTORIC SOCIETY John and his crew have painted the basement. They are working on the floor. They are going to be reviewed by the State Parks Commission as a Point of Historical Interest. John has a bid to replace the windows in the schoolhouse. At the Gala he will have a window on display asking people to sponsor a window. The only modernizing to the schoolhouse is fire retardant material. John continues pursuing grants to complete the schoolhouse. Approximately $35,000-$40,000 is needed to complete the schoolhouse. Good Sunday Afternoon, Laurie, NEWSLETTER SUPPORT I have just mailed a letter to our friend Bob Mallicoat of Beverly Hills. In my letter to Bob I enclosed a $25 check made out to Sertoma Club to pay for a year's ad in your bulletin. I want to congratulate you for a fine bulletin and the work you do for Sertoma Club. I took your bulletin to our last Friday's meeting and had it passed around to the few members we have left. They agreed with me that you are doing great things for Sertoma. Please put me on your mailing list. I would like to put you on my mailing list for the Reno Sertoma bulletins that I publish. If you could send me an address I will see that you receive a hard copy. I also sent Bob a copy of the Reno Sertoma Monday Night football book that I publish. I fell certain that he will show it to. The Football Book is our major Sponsorship Fundraiser. I wish I could inspire our members to do more, but such is the vicissitudes of our present day local Sertoma. Have a Great Day, Laurie!!
