Then at last the people will look to their Creator and turn their eyes to the Holy One of Israel. Isaiah 17:7
I will surely bless you, and I will surely multiply your offspring as the stars of heaven and as the sand that is on the seashore. And your offspring shall possess the gate of his enemies, and in your offspring shall all the nations of the earth be blessed, because you have obeyed my voice. ~Genesis 22:17-18 God gave Solomon very great wisdom and understanding, and knowledge as vast as the sands of the seashore. ~I Kings 4:29
Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing. 2 Timothy 4:8
Mark 5 Jesus went with him, and all the people followed, crowding around him. A woman in the crowd had suffered for twelve years with constant bleeding. She had suffered a great deal from many doctors, and over the years she had spent everything she had to pay them, but she had gotten no better. In fact, she had gotten worse. She had heard about Jesus, so she came up behind him through the crowd and touched his robe. For she thought to herself, If I can just touch his robe, I will be healed. Immediately the bleeding stopped, and she could feel in her body that she had been healed of her terrible condition. And he said to her, Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace. Your suffering is over.
Luke 7 One of the Pharisees asked Jesus to have dinner with him, so Jesus went to his home and sat down to eat. When a certain immoral woman from that city heard he was eating there, she brought a beautiful alabaster jar filled with expensive perfume. Then she knelt behind him at his feet, weeping. Her tears fell on his feet, and she wiped them off with her hair. Then she kept kissing his feet and putting perfume on them. Then Jesus turned to the woman and said to Simon, Look at this woman kneeling here. When I entered your home, you didn t offer me water to wash the dust from my feet, but she has washed them with her tears and wiped them with her hair. You didn t greet me with a kiss, but from the time I first came in, she has not stopped kissing my feet. You neglected the courtesy of olive oil to anoint my head, but she has anointed my feet with rare perfume. I tell you, her sins and they are many have been forgiven, so she has shown me much love. But a person who is forgiven little shows only little love. Then Jesus said to the woman, Your sins are forgiven. And Jesus said to the woman, Your faith has saved you; go in peace.
John 8 As he was speaking, the teachers of religious law and the Pharisees brought a woman who had been caught in the act of adultery. They put her in front of the crowd. Teacher, they said to Jesus, this woman was caught in the act of adultery. The law of Moses says to stone her. What do you say? They kept demanding an answer, so he stood up again and said, All right, but let the one who has never sinned throw the first stone! Then he stooped down again and wrote in the dust. When the accusers heard this, they slipped away one by one, beginning with the oldest, until only Jesus was left in the middle of the crowd with the woman. Then Jesus stood up again and said to the woman, Where are your accusers? Didn t even one of them condemn you? No, Lord, she said. And Jesus said, Neither do I. Go and sin no more.
And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we don t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words. Romans 8:26
I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit in you. I will take out your stony, stubborn heart and give you a tender, responsive heart. And I will put my Spirit in you. You will be my people, and I will be your God. Ezekiel 36:25-28
Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path. ~Psalm 119:105 You, LORD, are my lamp; the LORD turns my darkness into light. ~2 Samuel 22:29 The human spirit is the lamp of the LORD that sheds light on one s inmost being. ~Proverbs 20:27 Be dressed ready for service and keep your lamps burning. ~Luke 12:35
Kiss me with the kisses of your mouth for your love is more delightful than wine. ~ Song of Songs 1:2 You did not give me a kiss, but this woman, from the time I entered, has not stopped kissing my feet. ~ Luke 7:45
Those who go out weeping as they carry seeds to plant will come back singing with joy. They will bring the new crop back with them. ~ Psalm 126:6 Plant the good seeds of righteousness, and you will harvest a crop of love. Plow up the hard ground of your hearts, for now is the time to seek the LORD, that he may come and shower righteousness upon you. ~ Hosea 10:12 Here is another illustration Jesus used: The Kingdom of Heaven is like a mustard seed planted in a field. It is the smallest of all seeds, but it becomes the largest of garden plants; it grows into a tree, and birds come and make nests in its branches. ~ Matthew 12:31-32 Jesus told them. I tell you the truth, if you had faith even as small as a mustard seed, you could say to this mountain, Move from here to there, and it would move. Nothing would be impossible. ~ Matthew 17:20 And the seeds that fell on the good soil represent honest, good-hearted people who hear God s word, cling to it, and patiently produce a huge harvest. ~ Luke 8:15
