JUST SOMETHING TO THIINK ABOUT... For some reason, people today tend to think of prayer as asking God for something: Healing Be er grades A new job A new puppy None of this is bad, but When a person has everything one needs, Prayer is just not that important. Then it gets forgo en. The World Mee ng of Families this September in Philadelphia is the perfect chance To remind folk Prayer is being WITH God WITH others. Prayer is a profound way to be together as a people, strengthening our communion with God The One who wants to be closer to us than we are to ourselves. FAMILY is the PRIMARY COMMUNITY of PRAYER. When our families pray, They are stronger, and so are our parishes and schools. CALLING YOUTH LECTORS Students in grades 9 12 are invited to consider assisting with the weekend Masses as lectors.
