ST. PETER S EV. LUTHERAN CHURCH Missouri Synod - Reedsburg, Wisconsin Proclaiming JESUS Savior and Lord for LIFE Paul M. Crolius, Pastor Church: 524-4512 Home: 524-3736 Roger Tessendorf, Principal School: 524-4066 Home: (865)776-0021 www.stpetersreedsburg.com ALL SAINTS DAY OBSERVED ************************************************************* OUR MISSION STATEMENT To make disciples of all people through a faithful ministry of Word and Sacrament. OUR VISION Connecting all people to Christ and each other through worship, education, service, and fellowship. OUR PROMISE STATEMENT St. Peter s Lutheran Church nurtures you to form a foundation for a relationship with God which keeps you on the right path as a place to be at peace. We help you develop a Christian perspective, invite you to work for the common good, give the source for Godly counsel, and partner with you to raise your children in a Christ centered way. WELCOME FRIENDS! All are asked to sign the attendance card and place it in the plate during the offering. When Holy Communion is offered, guests are asked to read through the statement on the inside cover of the hymnal before receiving communion. If you require gluten free wafers, please speak to the Pastor or an elder. RADIO BROADCAST CHANGE We are now broadcasting our worship service at noon on Sundays on WCNP FM 89.5. HOSPITALIZED THIS PAST WEEK No one to report at this time. LIFE THOUGHTS We get to love God not only in spirit but in the person of our neighbors (Mark 12:33). The same blood that makes Him our brother and us His children (Hebrews 9:12) also makes those around us into treasures and privileges. In protecting and providing for the least of these uncertain parents, unresponsive patients, unborn embryos the Kingdom Himself will never be far from us. Incarnate God, draw us into Your humility that our race be raised up. Amen. MITEY MUFFIN WEEKEND On November 3 rd - 4 th, YOU can help people find rest in a changing world. Many have not heard about our Lord and Savior. The mites collected this weekend will help fund our LWML mission grants to help these people hear the Good News or help people who are furthering their work in the ministry. If you have a few coins to put in the Mite box, we greatly appreciate you furthering God s work. Either way, please enjoy a Mitey Muffin after the service. WE NEED YOUR HELP! Mission weekend is Nov. 17-18. Our guest speaker will be Rev. John Suguitan from Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Cincinnati, Ohio. We are taking a collection for the homeless who are a significant part of this ministry. We will be collecting hats and gloves for men and women to be given to the homeless to help keep them warm. Thank you for your generosity!

THANKSGIVING DINNER The Board of Congregational Services will be hosting the annual Thanksgiving Dinner Sunday, November 18, 2018. We will start serving the meal following the 10:30AM service in Concordia Hall. The board will be serving turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, stuffing, and dinner rolls. Everyone is invited to attend! If able, please bring a salad or a dessert to help complete our meal. Thank you so much for your help with this and we hope to see you there! Please bring family and friends! With angels, archangels, and with all the company of heaven When we gather around the altar of the Lord in His House we pray and praise God with all the company of heaven. Those we have lost in the Lord are not truly lost to us they have simply entered their rest with the Lord. As we gather to worship our Lord, we gather along with them. On the Last Day everything that God has given into the care of our stewardship will fade away everything except our brothers and sisters in Christ. Caring for one another in love and grace is our highest calling. Witness: As we approach the end of the church year, our thoughts turn to last things. One day Christ will come again and take His precious saints to be with Him forever. In the meantime, we, as bold Christians, gladly share the hope that is within us even when things in this world go bad.
