Hymn: VU 155 Jesus Christ is Risen Today

Jesus Christ is Risen Today Jesus Christ is risen today, Hallelujah! Our triumphant holy day, Hallelujah! Who did once, upon the cross, Hallelujah! Suffer to redeem our loss, Hallelujah!

Hymns of praise then let us sing, Hallelujah! Unto Christ, our heavenly King, Hallelujah! Who endured the cross and grave, Hallelujah! Sinners to redeem and save. Hallelujah!

But the pains which He endured, Hallelujah! Our salvation have procured; Hallelujah! Now above the sky he s King, Hallelujah! Where the angels ever sing. Hallelujah!

Sing we to our God above, Hallelujah! Praise eternal as God s love; Hallelujah! Praise our God, ye heavenly host, Hallelujah! Praise the Son and Holy Ghost. Hallelujah!

Leader: Rejoice! There is great news! Christ is risen! People: Christ is risen, indeed!

Leader: Let all the earth proclaim the joy! People: Let all heaven show forth in praise.

Leader: Alleluia! People: Alleluia!

This is the Day This is the day that God has made; We will rejoice and be glad! This is the day that God has made; We will rejoice and be glad!

Singing hallelu, singing hallelu Singing hallelu! We will rejoice and be glad! Singing hallelu, singing hallelu Singing hallelu! We will rejoice and be glad!

All: O God of all our days, we come this morning with eager anticipation. We seek to know you, to see you, to touch you. Open our hearts that we might experience you anew.

Open our lives that we may be faithful witnesses to your resurrection. May we, with shouts of joy, proclaim your steadfast, liberating love to all people, everywhere. Amen.

Hymn: The Church is Wherever God s People

The Church is Wherever God s People The church is wherever God s people are praising, Singing God s goodness for joy on this day. The church is wherever disciples of Jesus Remember his story and walk in his way.

The church is wherever God s people are singing, Sharing good news with a song and a voice. The church is wherever as Christians we re telling Our stories of faith and our message, rejoice!

Growing in Faith

Lord, Listen to Your Children Praying Lord, listen to your children praying, Lord, send your Spirit in this place; Lord, listen to your children praying, Send us love, send us power, send us grace!

Invitation to the Table

Bread of Life Bread of life, feed my soul, As the presence of the spirit makes me whole. Bread of life, fill my heart With the grace and mercy you impart.

I have heard your voice calling, Come, my friend, and share In the feast that is laid out for you To show how much I care.

Bread of life, help me live A life as pure and true as Jesus did. Bread of life, help me see The boundless love of Christ for you and me.

I have heard your voice calling, Come, my friend, and share In the feast that is laid out for you To show how much I care.

Bread of life, feed my soul, As the presence of the spirit makes me whole. Bread of life, fill my heart With the grace and mercy you impart.

Leader: Christ is risen! People: He is risen indeed. Leader: Lift up your hearts. People: We lift them up to the Lord.

Leader: Let us give thanks to the Lord our God. People: It is right to give our thanks and praise.

Leader: Hallelujah, thanks and praise, ever-living God, worker of wonders, maker of miracles, author of all life and giver of life eternal! Out of chaos and fear you bring beauty and hope. Out of despair and death you create courage and new life. And so, with the risen Christ, who makes all things new by the power of his resurrection, we join in the song of a new day, to sing your praise.

Sung: Holy, holy, holy, God of power and might; Holy, holy, holy, Heaven and earth proclaim thee. Holy, holy, holy, Hosanna in the highest! Blessed is the one who comes, who comes in your name. Hosanna in the highest.

Leader: On the night before He died, Jesus took bread, and after giving thanks to God, He broke it, and gave it to those who sat with Him saying: Take, eat. This is my body, given for you. Do this in remembrance of me. In the same way He took the cup saying: This cup is the new covenant sealed in my blood, shed for you for the forgiveness of sins. Whenever you drink it, do this in remembrance of me.

Leader: Loving God, we rejoice in the gift of Your grace, remembering Christ s life and death, proclaiming His resurrection, waiting in hope for His coming again. Grant that in praise and thanksgiving, we may so offer ourselves to you that our lives may proclaim the mystery of faith:

Sung: Christ has died. Christ is risen. Christ will come, come again.

Leader: By these signs of bread and wine, we recognize the longings of all our hearts for a time when all humanity will be one family when justice and compassion will be the way we live according to the One we seek. Holy Spirit, hover over our lives, uniting us in these signs and strengthening us to live the resurrected life of Christ in the world.

Sharing the Bread and Cup

All: Life-giving God, may we, who share Christ s body, live his risen life; we, who drink his cup, bring new life to others; we, whom the Spirit lights, give light to the world. Keep us firm in the hope you have set before us, so that we and all your children shall be free and all creation will live to praise your name. Amen.

Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be your name, Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our sins

As we forgive those who sin against us. Save us from the time of trial And deliver us from evil For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours, Now and forever.

Hymn: VU 164 The Day of Resurrection

The Day of Resurrection The day of resurrection! Earth, tell it out abroad, The passover of gladness, the passover of God! From death to life eternal, from earth unto the sky, Our Christ hath brought us over with hymns of victory.

Our hearts be pure from evil, that we may see aright The Christ in rays eternal of resurrection light, And, listening to the accents, may hear so calm and plain Christ s own All hail! and, hearing, may raise the victor strain.

Now let the heavens be joyful; let earth her song begin; The round world keep high triumph, and all that is therein. Let all things seen and unseen their notes of gladness blend, For Christ indeed is risen, our Joy that has no end.

You Shall Go Out With Joy You shall go out with joy And be led forth with peace, And the mountains and the hills Shall break forth before you. There ll be shouts of joy And the trees of the field Shall clap, clap, clap their hands,

And the trees of the field Shall clap their hands, And the trees of the field Shall clap their hands, And the trees of the field Shall clap their hands, And you ll go out with joy!
