Path Clearer Newsletter August 2008 Issue #17 Influencing Nations with Judeo-Christian Truth A voice of one calling in the desert: Prepare the way for the Lord; make straight in the wilderness a highway for our God. Every valley shall be raised up, every mountain and hill made low; the rough ground shall become level, the rugged places a plain. And the glory of the Lord will be revealed, and all mankind together will see it. For the mouth of the Lord has spoken. A voice says, Cry out. (Isaiah 40:3-6) Insights on the Current Season: Recent Highlights: Please note two items of significant interest: (1) My prophetic friend David Davenport has been predicting over the past year that 8-8-8 would be a significant transitional point in history. On 8-8-8 Russia invaded Georgia. Perhaps related to this was one of my prior revelatory dreams, in which I saw that the leader of Russia would quickly marry someone else (e.g., symbolic of another leader or another nation). On the heels of this marriage their military would begin to march in a manner resembling the storm troopers of WWII with tall black leather boots. Note that Mr. Putin, the former President, arranged a new governance relationship with co-leadership for Russia with Mr. Medvedev as the new President, yet with Mr. Putin retaining considerable powers. Perhaps this represents the symbolic marriage that I saw in the spiritual dream; and (2) Have you noticed that there has been an unusually high level of earthquake activity during 2008 within Asia, the Pacific Rim, and the USA? During the past year-and-a-half we have been conducting PC mini-conferences entitled Finding Hope During a Season of Shaking. This word was first delivered inside of China. There is both natural and spiritual significance to our words about shaking. (a) Russia s Victory Day celebration in May 2008 with soldiers in WWII era uniforms, closely resembling what I saw in the prior dream. (b) President Medvedev and former President Putin, as the new co-leadership team of Russia. 2008 Path Clearer Inc. 1
Mamie Jo Hunter s Funeral: On Friday March 21 st Mamie Jo Hunter died in Atlanta at the age of 89. She was known as The Gospel Carrier and had a profound effect upon Dennis Arnold and many other people, including myself. She carried a solid gift of prophecy with ample evidence of a lifetime of special revelation and remarkable testimonies. She was filled with tenderness, love, and honored Jesus in all that she did and said. She is mentioned in my two books. Montana & Idaho: On March 28-30 th we returned to the Rocky Mountains for our second ministry weekend among the Amish community of Libby, MT. Mark Cundy, a bi-vocational minister from Redmond, WA (below left), joined me for a weekend of teachings there and in Bonners Ferry, Idaho, as we were hosted by our PC Board member, Elvie Miller (below right). In addition, God opened a door for us to honor and to pray the Creator s blessing over the elder of the Kootenai Reservation in Idaho. Creek Indian Pilgrimage: Board member Don Stewart and I joined up with an intercession team organized by Paul Hughes, who leads the Birmingham Prayer Furnace, to visit two sites of historic significance to the Creek Nation of Native Americans. Al and Danielle Mathis, the owners of DeSoto Caverns in Childersburg, AL (below left), hosted us for prayer at the cave that is considered as the oral tradition birthplace or womb of the Creek Nation. We then visited the site of the battle of Tohopeka at Horseshoe Bend, AL, where Federal troops attacked the Creek in the early 19 th Century. Tohopeka represents the end of the sovereign Creek Nation in AL. 2008 Path Clearer Inc. 2
Radio Interviews: Life Perspectives radio interviews by Jim Cress and Don Hawkins continued in a series on the theme of Finding Hope When Facing Cancer and aired on March 24 th, April 21 st, May 19 th, June 23 rd, and July 21 st. England: In June we took a team of nine into Manchester, Liverpool, Kettering, Moulton, and London. One of the major purposes was to support John Manwell with the Festival of Hope in Liverpool. On June 17 th I was interviewed live on Revelation TV in London for the third time. US-Canadian Border: On July 9 th Ben Dixon joined me for an evening of ministry in Lynden, WA on the Canadian Border, hosted by Diane and Dale Murr. On August 6 th I returned to Blaine, WA for a second session on the theme of A Certain Word. We will be ministering in British Columbia, Canada at the end of August. Hamilton, AL: On July 15 th a team consisting of Dale Cathey, Gene Cary, Don Stewart, Jeremy Simmons, and Melvin Slotnick joined me for an evening at Christ Community Fellowship in Hamilton. Board Members Updates: Isaac Dooley -- Our extended Dooley family enjoyed the wonderful wedding of our son and fellow Board member Isaac Dooley to Amanda Wisdom on Saturday July 26th in Kansas City. It was a beautiful and traditional covenant marriage ceremony. Family and friends from all over the US attended...illinois, Georgia, Alabama, New Jersey, Minnesota, Kansas, Washington, etc. Isaac and Amanda went on their honeymoon to Jamaica. They are residing in Urbana, Illinois. John Manwell Our dear friends in Liverpool, John and Marie Manwell, are continuing a great work for the Kingdom of God. They oversee The Well, a home-based ministry that routinely hosts and encourages ministries from around the world. John also oversees Together for the Harvest, a network of evangelical churches from all over Liverpool. The Well is deserving of our financial support.
