Two Competing Views of Creation 1. God created the universe and all living things within it in 6 literal days. 2. Random processes, or accidental developments, created the universe and all life over billions of years.
The Gap Theory Claims there is a very long gap of time between Genesis 1:1 and Genesis 1:2; a world existed during this gap and was destroyed, and then God re-created the world in the six days described in Genesis. This theory puts death before sin when the Scriptures describe death as the consequence of sin.
Theistic Evolution Claims that God created the evolutionary process and that we came from that process. This theory still puts death before sin and makes God the creator of death and suffering.
Natural Law vs Macro Evolution The Law of Entropy = It can t overcome it. The Law of Causality = It can t explain it. Genetic Limitations = It can t get past them. Natural Selection = Needs an intelligent being. Information = Needs an intelligent mind.
