Exodus 2:15-16

Do you ever feel like you're living a lie?

How can you leave behind a life a deception and pursue one of generosity and honesty?

We lie and steal more than we think.

Leviticus 19:11-12 You shall not steal; you shall not deal falsely; you shall not lie to one another. You shall not swear by my name falsely, and so profane the name of your God: I am the Lord.

We lie and steal more than we think. We take advantage of others. (Leviticus 19:13)

Leviticus 19:13 "You shall not oppress your neighbor or rob him. The wages of a hired worker shall not remain with you all night until the morning."

We lie and steal more than we think. We take advantage of others. (Leviticus 19:13) We lie to ourselves. (19:14)

Leviticus 19:14 "You shall not curse the deaf or put a stumbling block before the blind, but you shall fear your God: I am the Lord."

We lie and steal more than we think. We take advantage of others. (Leviticus 19:13) We lie to ourselves. (19:14) We bend the rules in our favor. (19:15)

Leviticus 19:15 "You shall do no injustice in court. You shall not be partial to the poor or defer to the great, but in righteousness shall you judge your neighbor."

We lie and steal more than we think. We take advantage of others. (Leviticus 19:13) We lie to ourselves. (19:14) We bend the rules in our favor. (19:15) We talk about people behind their backs. (19:16)

Leviticus 19:16 You shall not go around as a slanderer among your people, and you shall not stand up against the life of your neighbor: I am the Lord.

"A lie which is a half truth is ever the blackest of lies." Alfred Lord Tennyson

We can gain more from honesty & generosity than we think. (Ephesians 4:25-32)

We can gain more from honesty & generosity than we think. (Ephesians 4:25-32) We can gain real friends.

Ephesians 4:25 Therefore, having put away falsehood, let each one of you speak the truth with his neighbor, for we are members one of another.

We can gain more from honesty & generosity than we think. (Ephesians 4:25-32) We can gain real friends. We can have conflicts that end.

Ephesians 4:26-27 Be angry and do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger, and give no opportunity to the devil.

We can gain more from honesty & generosity than we think. (Ephesians 4:25-32) We can gain real friends. We can have conflicts that end. We can have gifts to give.

Ephesians 4:28 Let the thief no longer steal, but rather let him labor, doing honest work with his own hands, so that he may have something to share with anyone in need.

We can gain more from honesty & generosity than we think. (Ephesians 4:25-32) We can gain real friends. We can have conflicts that end. We can have gifts to give. We can use our mouths for what they were meant for.

Ephesians 4:29-32 Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear. And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.
