The term of office of elected members begins at the point of election and continues until the election of their successors, or at the point at which they cease to be qualified. The Board is currently chaired by the Bishop of Buckingham. The remaining 10 members will be elected by Diocesan Synod from the Archdeaconries as follows: 1 member of Diocesan Synod, Lay or Ordained 3 members: 1 of whom must be a member of Diocesan Synod, 1 must be Lay and 1 must be Ordained Buckinghamshire Archdeaconry as for Berkshire as for Berkshire The three-year term of office begins on 1 January 2019. There will be an Induction session for all members on 30 January 2019 and the first meeting of the new triennium for Diocesan Board of Education members is on 27 March 2019. This is done in close co-operation with the Bishop and Parish Representatives.
