FAITHWALK: No FaithWalk today during Spring Break. FAITHWALK LAST SUNDAY: Attendance 31. Offering $25.02. Total offering to date $962.30. Our FaithWalk Offering this church year goes to Kids Food Basket. TONIGHT: No HS students tonight during Spring Break MONDAY: Office is closed. Monday Night men s basketball @ 7:00pm in the ARC. TUESDAY: Cardio Café in the ARC from 8:30-10:00am. WEDNESDAY: Serving Together @ 8:30am. No MS students during Spring Break. Choir rehearsal in the sanctuary @ 6:15pm. The Praise Team practices in the sanctuary from 7:30 to 8:30pm. THURSDAY: Cardio Café in the ARC from 8:30-10:00am. No Prayer Time this week. Women s Bible Study will begin a new study on 2 Timothy. Anyone is invited to join them for this new study @ 10:30am in the Cornerstone room. NEXT SUNDAY we will celebrate the Fifth Sunday of Lent. The Choir will bring the ministry of music. Ruth Klaasen as well as the Praise Team will be on hand to accompany the congregation in worship. Pastor Kevin s message from Jesus last week will come from Mark 14:12-26, 32-42 called Supper & Prayer. The Children & Worship story will be Lent 4: The Cross. FaithWalk returns for all ages. ARE YOU CROSSING BOUNDARIES? Have you intentionally taken a step or two to connect with someone you have not connected with before, or to go deeper with someone you already know? Drop a stone in the Boundary Crossing jug in the Gathering Place to add to our count of 5,000 interactions. Cards are also available for you to jot down a couple of lines to share what happened. FASTING EVENT: All HS students are invited to join the Haiti team for a fasting event at the church on April 12 beginning at 6pm. The fast will take place immediately after lunch on Friday and will end with lunch on Saturday. The cost is $5 to see Shazam! at the event. Let us know If you are interested in fund raising with the team to help feed a village in Haiti! CENTRAL PARK PATHWAY: The April Newsletter is available on the church website and distributed by email. If you do not do the web or have email, there will be copies available on the bulletin racks in the sanctuary entryway. Email information@centralparkchurch.org to get on the distribution list. RETURN OF THURSDAY NIGHT VOLLYBALL: Are you interested in playing volleyball on Thursday nights for exercise and fellowship? Starting April 11, a group of people from one of the downtown churches will be playing volleyball here in the ARC each Thursday evening from 7:00-9:00. We are welcome to join in. Some folks from Central Park have already committed to helping them make the transition. Feel free to come out and join in the fun. EASTER EGG HUNT COMING SOON TO CENTRAL PARK CHURCH: We are having an Easter Egg Hunt on April 20 and will need supplies for this event. Items needed are plastic Easter eggs, wrapped candy, and miniature Easter toys that fit in the Easter eggs. Please place the donations in the cabinets labeled Easter Egg Hunt in the Entryway. VBS PREPARATIONS!! It is time to begin preparing supplies & decorations for VBS! Many hands make light work so while we are warm and cozy in our easy chair, we can work on the very first project. Many, many SNOWFLAKES are needed to decorate the church. White paper is provided on a table in the Gathering Place. Take some home and make various size snowflakes (sizes from as large as the paper will allow down to 3-4-5 inches, any size). Place the completed snowflakes in the VBS designated cabinet under the mailboxes in the sanctuary entryway. We are also collecting clean, empty, plastic gallon milk jugs. They may be placed in the cabinet also.
NURSERY: Spring is here and here come garage sales. The nursery needs some toys. We are looking for some baby dolls, wooden books, big trucks, and cars. If you bring in the toys, I will clean them for you. Also, we are not using our pagers anymore. We will be using text messages or sending someone to come get parent when they are needed. ANNUAL CROP HUNGER WALK: Here s an easy way to participate and fund-raise. Go to www.crophungerwalk.orghollandmi Click on sign up and follow the directions. You can even email family and friends anywhere in the world to help you end hunger and poverty. Register online and raise at least $150 and you will receive a CROP Hunger T-Shirt, sent to you following the walk. Louie Weighmink remains a resident at Lakeside Vista. Tom Slager entered Spectrum Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids this past Thursday to begin chemotherapy in preparation for a stem cell transplant. Ellie Jean is doing well and attending school at the Ottawa Area Center. Please keep praying that Ellie Jean that continues to do well. Ellie is Bob & Jeanne Westrate s granddaughter, who has Cornelia De Lange Syndrome. SYMPATHY: We express our sympathy in Christ to the family of Catherine DePree who passed away at Lakeside Vista on Friday, March 22. May God provide them with the comfort and grace they need.
