Mark, Georgina Zeng Georgina called meeting to order and asked Father to open with a prayer. Father s Report: Fr. Mark welcomed everyone to the new building. All council members stated they were pleased with the building. He brought up the options for a dedication ceremony. Father also brought up the subject of landscaping around the new building. He has found a volunteer to do the work, but needs donations of shrubs and plants. He also mentioned that he would like to make a prayer garden. Discussion of using bricks for this project that symbolize a donation. Mac will check into the prices for bricks. There was discussion on the purchase of table and chairs. Current tables seat 6 people. We need to decide if we want to keep with that size or purchase bigger ones which are more costly. Georgina will look into prices and report back. All members liked the chairs that were purchased. Also discussed loaning out tables and chairs. Members were in agreement that the new tables and chairs should not be loaned out. This will be put in the policy for the new building. Since the building will be used for rental, we will have to have a rental policy. Tom stated he would ask a professional to do this. Rental fees were discussed. Rental for the week-ends will be $500 and weekdays $350. Father stated in the short time the building has been available for rental it has already generated $1,200. Alcohol policies were discussed and liabilities involved. Will have further discussion on this. Father also mentioned he would like to have a parish life event every month in the new building. Will have further discussion on this. Discussion on finances. After all expenses are paid, we still have $70,000 left on the loan. Father stated he would like to go ahead and use this money to pave the parking lot. All members were in agreement with this. Fran will help Father get estimates on this. Father also mentioned that since Saturday night Masses have been cancelled, more revenue has been generated from him providing coverage to other churches. He contributes his earnings to the church s building fund. Members expressed gratitude to Father for doing this. Fr.
