Welcome To Church! We believe that Church is an exciting place to be, a place where you can belong, worship with passion, grow, discover your purpose and enjoy life's journey together as we serve Christ's cause. Our Sunday Service: Starting at 10:30am and lasts for approximately 90 minutes. These are full of uplifting praise and worship, an encouraging message from the Bible, times of prayer and the opportunity to stay and talk over coffee following the service! We celebrate communion together on the 1st & 3rd Sunday of the month. For Children: We have The Catch which is for children from ages 3-11. The children will leave the service after the first couple of songs and yours will be invited to join in if they would like to. Baby Room: A baby room is available at the back for little ones together with toys and a live audio feed so parents can still hear the service, as well as see it through the glass, if being in the main area becomes too much of a challenge for you. We love babies! Life by the Sea For Youth: We have The Beat for ages 11-17 which will also leave the main service so look out for this if you d like to check this out! New Here? If this is your first time in church we would love to meet you over coffee and get to know you a little better! If you would like more info or want to get more involved then please fill out a welcome card from the table in the foyer and hand it to one of the host team! There s More! Find out about Homegroups, Ladies & Men s events, Alpha Course and special events on our website or please speak to a member of the host team today! Giving: There are Giving boxes on the walls at the front and the back if you would like to support the work of the church or you can also give online with these details: Account name: Appledore Baptist Church, Sort code: 30-90-78, Account Number: 27153660. ABC-WiFi: JohnCh3V16 Becoming a Christian: As Christians we have the wonderful privilege of being able to introduce others to our wonderful Saviour, Jesus Christ. Sometimes, however, this can be a little daunting. I hope that this will be helpful in the process. Every single person has sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. (Romans 3:23) But every single person is so dear to Jesus and He died for them all (Romans 6:10) You can explain it, to people that you are leading to Jesus, in this way: You are precious to God. God loves you. He sent Jesus to die for you and carry your sin and shame at the cross. He is not interested in holding sin against you; He is interested in drawing you to Himself. This is the Good News of the message of Jesus Christ! Jesus died in your place, for your sin, so that you could have the opportunity to believe and be restored to a relationship with God that you were made to have. For God so loved the world [you] that He gave His one and only Son, so that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life, for God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world [you] through Him. John chapter 3 verse 16 - The Bible Jesus is right here with you, by His Spirit, as you read this today, and He is inviting you to meet Him. Meeting Jesus is as simple as praying a prayer: Dear Lord Jesus, I need You... I need You to forgive me and I welcome your love into my life. Thank You for dying on the cross for me so that all my sins can be forgiven. I believe that You rose to life again and that I can know you today. I turn to you today and accept You as my Lord and Saviour. Now I m a Christian, which means You live in me, I belong to You. I will live my life for You and I will love You forever. Amen Did you know you can get a Bible on your phone? Download the YouVersion Bible App for a powerful way to engage with God s word every day! Visit www.bible.com :) We believe that in order to live the holy and fruitful lives that God intends for us we need to be baptised in water and be filled with the power of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit enables us to use spiritual gifts, including speaking in tongues (Mark 16:16, Acts 1:8, Acts 2:4, Galatians 5:22-23). Please ask if you would like more informatuon about baptism in water and the Holy Spirit.

Items Needed: Tea, milk (dried), UHT fruit juice (Not refrigerated), instant mash, pasta sauce, soup, tinned tomatoes, tinned vegetables, sponge pudding (tinned), instant coffee (small) decaf too, tinned fruit, toiletries, toilet rolls. ABC continues to partner with the Northern Devon FoodBank and we aim to make donations every week of itmes on the list above from the church. Other items are also welcome, as well as gift of money. Last year the foodbank fed 3736 adults and 2084 children and demand is rising every year by 10-15%. 1 in 5 foodbank users are in work, and because we are in such a low salaried area anything such as illness, job loss, family breakdown or even delays in receiving benefits can cause financial difficulties and make people come to the foodbank. They have to be referred, they can't just turn up expecting food. There is a box in the front lobby for donations. Thanks to Judy Parry for arranging this partnership!
