Call to Worship: Experience of Unity Christine Hargraves (MDiv 16) Centering Scripture: 1 Corinthians 12:12-1 Prof. Sunggu Yang Marlena DelHierro (MDiv/MA Counseling 17) Josh Godwin (MDiv 16) For jt as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ. For in the one Spirit we were all baptized into one body Jews or Greeks, slaves or free and we were all made to drink of one Spirit. Anthem: Let Them See You Kenneth Pettigrew (MDiv 16) Sally Morris Proclaiming Sermon; 1 Corinthians 12:12-27 Responding Communion: Dean Gail O Day Dean Gail O Day Invitation to the Table Jes calls to the well and invites to drink of the Living Water. Jes calls out of the shadows, to be entirely known and filled with God s presence. As those who were made in God s own image, and as those who breathe the breath of God s spirit, Jes calls all. Jes calls to the table, to the meal that nourishes our bodies and binds our dry bones into one Body, living in Christ. Jes calls, here and now. Come to this table, you who are beloved in Christ. Come, not becae you mt, but becae you may.
Communion Prayer Holy God, source of all being, you are greater by far than our human thoughts can comprehend. With all that you have created, you abide; weeping with in grief and pain, rejoicing with in life and love. You are everywhere in this very moment; holding the entirety of living experience and weaving together in the great and intricate tapestry of Creation. Creator God, mother and father of all, in your holy love you took on our limitations. Born of a body, bound within a body, you know the whole of this human experience. Learning to communicate with words; teaching to communicate with presence. Learning the fears that wring dry; teaching of the love that nurtures back to life. Everlasting God, you are everywhere and right here. As close as the air we breathe, the air which binds one to another and all to your beautiful creation, and you call again and again into relationship with one another and with you. Holy Spirit, divine Advocate, guide and encourage. Stir within our hearts, that we may speak anew the familiar words that Jes taught... Blessing of the Bread and Cup Sharing of the Meal 4
