Amazing Grace Pastor Scott Hill 1 Chron. 17 Big Idea: God s grace does for us what we cannot do for ourselves. God is sovereign (1-8) God lacks nothing (2, 3-10, 2Chron. 2:5-6) God needs nothing (4, 10, Matt. 3:9) God works through us (7-9) God can turn followers into leaders (7, 1Sam. 17:45) God intervenes for us (8-9, Psalm 145:4, 5-7) God has an eternal plan (10-15) God is the builder, we are the laborers (10, Ps. 127:1) God does more than we know (11, Eph. 3:20-21) God goes way beyond our expectations (12, Rev. 21:1-2) What is our response to God? (16-27) Who am I? (16-17, Rom. 11:5-6) What can I say? (18-19, Rom. 9:30-32) We pray and God blesses! (25-27) Personal Application: I will join with God to build a spiritual house (1Peter 2:5) 1. By preparing to share the reason for my hope in Christ (1Peter 3:15) 2. By giving a Gospel of John, explaining why it was written (John 20:31) Notes:
