It is always nice to see old friends and great to make new ones. We would like to thank you all for your hard work, effort, and energy that went into the conference. We hope the conference was educational, informative, and most important, FUN! Our goal was for everyone to walk away from the conference well informed, entertained, and most of all inspired to continue the great work you do in our industry. It was our pleasure to work closely with our Northeast Regional Vice President Chef Bill Tillinghast CEC, AAC, MBA and we are extremely blessed to have such a great leader for our region. We also want to thank the ACF National Office Staff for all their hard work and tireless effort that went into our conference and assisting us with all the extra details that made it special. Continue to live well, learn daily, and most important share your passion for food to all. Our next meeting will be at the Woods Creek Grill in Lickdale, Lebanon County. It is only about a 20 to 25 minute drive from Harrisburg on 81 to get to the restaurant and is less than 1/2 mile from the exit. I would encourage you to come to support Chef Allen Friend and his new endeavor. We return to our normal meeting schedule on the third Monday of the month and the meeting will start at 7:00pm. Chef Michael is in the planning of the summer months and chef involvement. SkillsUSA: Cher Harris, Charlie Gipe, & Tim Harris Pennsylvania State Competition is April 15, 2010 @ Lebanon County CTC. Congratulations to our ACF Harrisburg Chapter Career and technology Centers for their efforts at District competitions last month. A list of the winning students is on page 2 of the newsletter. Tour De Cure: Tim Roben The date is Saturday May 22. Chef Tim harris will be the team captain of team Harrisburg chefs. Last year they raised $221,000. This years goal is $237,000. Golf Outing: Chairperson: Charlie Gipe Co-chair: Brian Peffley The event will take place October 18, 2010 and will be followed by the chapter meeting with the Pennsylvania Restaurant Association participating. The committee would like to present the outline to the membership for a vote on the requirements for the awards and make recommendations to change and add to the Chapter By laws.
