WE CANNOT WAIT TO SEE WHAT INCREDIBLE THINGS YOU DO!

Hello beautiful sisters! I miss you, I am SO ecstatic to tell you the best news ever... SISTER MIKE AND I ARE FINALLY ENGAGED!!! As you know, we have been together for 5 and a half years. He has been nothing short of Prince Charming through all the ups, downs, and crazy journeys of my life. Those of you who know him well know how truly lucky I am to have such a wonderful human in my life. My dream wouldn t be complete without him in it. Here s how it went down: For February break, we went on a Disney Cruise on the Disney Magic from Miami- Grand Cayman- Castaway Cay-Miami. Naturally, I pre-ordered tickets to the Princess Gathering in advance so we could meet them on the ship, which was on Monday morning. So Monday morning, February 19, we went to breakfast and then put on our His Princess Her Prince Charming shirts (because I m me), and headed to the gathering, which started at 11:30am. There were four princesses- Belle, Tiana, Cinderella, and Rapunzel. So we do our thing with Belle and Tiana, then we get to my girl Cindy. We do our thing, get our pics taken, and give some hugs. Then Mike looks at the photographer and I m standing there waiting. Then he looks at Cinderella and says, Wait, can you help me with one more thing? I m stunned, AND THEN TURNS TO ME AND NOW HES REACHING IN HIS POCKET AND I AM SHOCKED AND THEN HES ON HIS KNEE AND SAYS WILL YOU BE MY PRINCESS FOREVER AND I LOSE IT AND JUST CRY AND NOD BECAUSE YA GIRL CANT SPEAK AND THE CROWD WENT WILD AND SO DID THE PRINCESSES AND IT WAS SO MAGICAL! It was just plain magical. It was perfect and everything I ve ever wanted and more. He surprised me, it was Disney, and the crowd cheered. It was literally a fairytale. After celebrating and being congratulated by everyone around us we went onto the balcony, Mike bought a small WiFi package before we left without telling me so that we would be able to tell our families. So we FaceTimed them and they were THRILLED. (My dad already knew of course). My sister had the cutest reaction. Then we very quickly called a few friends, posted on Facebook and insta, and turned everything off. So if you re wondering why I didn t answer your texts and comments for a week, it s because I was in the middle of the ocean :PIt was actually really great that way- we looove celebrating with everyone, but it was so nice to be disconnected and enjoy our engagement just the two of us for a few days! It was just SO magical. So perfect. Such a fairytale. Thank you all SO much for your beautiful wishes, texts, posts, calls, comments, messages, etc.- they mean the WORLD to us! You never fail to remind me that I am loved and that I am your sister, always. (And Mike) So here I am, still Meg, still a Disney princess. And now, I get to marry my Prince Charming. Eeeeepppp!!!!! #initiatesistermike I love you all so very much! Xoxoxoxoxox, Meaghan McCloat, Nala #11

As Vice President of Recruitment, I have had so many opportunities I would have never thought possible in this past year! But this month I have been especially busy with DPhiE things, which has been a blast but at the same time I may or may not need a nap! So I thought I would tell you all a little bit about what I have been up to! For those of you that don t know me, my name is Nicole Imperatore (yes, Danielle is my sister) and I am a Junior History major. Besides being VPR of DPhiE, I am also an admissions ambassador, peer educator, writing tutor and Relay for Life Committee Chair. I am extremely passionate about everything I do on campus and consider myself a loud and proud unicorn. This past february, we recruited 25 new members that we are so excited about and I cannot wait to see all they will accomplish within the sisterhood. This past recruitment, I held many workshops and talks in order to fully prepare ourselves for this recruitment. We were able to improve our performance significantly by changing bumping, holding workshops and really focusing on our mission and values! I am so proud of all the sisters, everyone worked really hard and the two recruitment weekends went so smoothly. This past weekend, I was selected to attend the Northeast Greek Leadership Conference with CSI in Pittsburgh, PA for 4 days. I got to hear some great speakers and swap ideas with Greek Life Leaders from schools across the northeast. My favorite part of the weekend was when I had a luncheon with over 30 Deephers from many schools across the NE. Representatives from International Headquarters even came to give us swag, I got a pop-socket (can you say winning?). We explored Pittsburgh and I made so many new connections, got so many ideas and I cannot wait for what we as a chapter have in store for us! Nicole Imperatore

This past January, I spent a week in Houston with a group of Adelphi students (which included two of our current new members, Emily and Jessica) for an Alternative Winter Break trip. It was an experience unlike anything I've ever done before. We were partnered up with local organizations to repair houses that were damaged during Hurricane Harvey last year. The group I was in worked with an organization called SBP, and we did repairs on a house which is set to be completed in early March. The conditions of these homes in Texas were devastating, and I could not believe how many people were still without homes since the storm several months ago. We did a lot of tiring work, but it was extremely rewarding. We also had a lot of fun exploring the surrounding area, visiting Kemah Boardwalk in Galveston, and eating some amazing Texas BBQ. I had an amazing experience serving the community in Texas, and making plenty of new friends as well. Brigid Lynn

Going to England for Spring Break was a dream come true! I went with my mom, my sister and my mom s best friend. This was my third time going and it was a surprise for my mom s best friend. Every single day, I did something different. Our days were busy from the morning until night! We went to all of the tourist events such as the Tower Bridge, the University of Oxford, the Big Red Bus Tour, Notting Hill, The Sherlock Holmes Museum, the War Room, the Florence Nightingale Museum, Windsor Castle, a tour of Shakespeare s Town and much more! Unfortunately, Big Ben was under construction. One of my favorites had to be the Harry Potter Tour! The tour showed the whole entire set of the movie and even showed glimpses of the costumes, makeup, props and wigs they used. Another one of my favorite things I did was go get tea! When in London, Tea is always a must! The place we went to was Fortnum and Mason! We ordered our own hot teas and got a mini carousel of yummy pastries! My third favorite thing had to be the tour of Buckingham Palace! It was so cool to get to see the inside of the royal palace and all the different rooms! This trip was definitely one for the books and something I will never forget!
