STEEPLE NEWS Centennial United Methodist Church at Ivy November 2018 A MESSAGE FROM PASTOR WENDY: Gifts of Grace November is the time when we intentionally focus our thoughts toward giving thanks. We recognize our blessings, and we give our thanks to Source of all blessing, our loving and merciful God. During November at Centennial UMC at Ivy, in a spirit of discovery and gratitude, we will be turning our focus to our spiritual gifts. By the power of the Holy Spirit, God has graced every believer with unique spiritual gifts. Some have gifts of administration, leadership, or evangelism. Others possess gifts of faith, mercy, or giving, teaching, shepherding, or intersession, to name just a few. As believers, it is important for us to be aware of our unique spiritual gifts. We have been entrusted by God to be stewards of our spiritual gifts and expected to put them to work for the glory of God. Our spiritual gifts are God s graces that are meant to benefit us, our church, community, and ultimately the kingdom of God. Join us in November as we explore our spiritual gifts. Discover your own unique gift blend and imagine ways God may be equipping and calling you to serve. Grace upon grace, Pastor Wendy I thank my God every time I remember you, constantly praying with joy in every one of my prayers for all of you. Philippians 1:3-4
