Mission of the Month Forum Everything You Wanted to Know About Missions of the Month But Didn t Know Who to Ask The Stewardship Team will be leading a discussion about Faith s Mission of the Month program during the Adult Forum time following the worship service on Sunday, January 20 th. We will be explaining what the program is, how it started and how the Missions are chosen. We have invited members who sponsor and/or volunteer for each of the Missions to share information about the Mission they are involved in. This is an opportunity to hear about some of the outreach that Faith members are passionate about. All are invited. 3

Fall Stewardship Drive Our Fall Stewardship Drive is coming to a close. During our Drive this year, we were inspired by faith stories shared by Barbara Johnson, Dena Beaule, Ryanne and Patrick Lee, and Rick Mallouk. We also were privileged to learn more about how the new tax law may affect our charitable giving at a Forum led by Andrew Mortenson, Financial Consultant from Thrivent Financial. The Stewardship Team would like to thank everyone who helped to make the drive a success. At the present time, we have received 64 pledges supporting daily ministry at Faith in 2019. We especially thank those members who stepped out in faith and raised their pledges and those who pledged for the first time this year. We are thankful for all members who support Faith s ministries with their faithful contributions of their time, their abilities, and their financial resources. All of these are blessings from God that we joyfully share with Faith Church to make God s work possible. God s Work. This observance predates Christmas in the Christian church and is a big celebration in many cultures around the world. For several years Faith has joined our friends at Christ the King Lutheran Church in Port Washington for a celebration in English and Spanish, including a meal provided by Tello s Grill followed by a procession, singing, house blessing, worship, king cake and a piñata! The meal begins at 5:00 followed by worship at 6:00 on Sunday, January 6. Join congregations from around the area in celebrating God s light shining in Jesus. A sign-up sheet for anyone needing a ride will be posted in the narthex. 4

On January 8, we ll journey with Jesus toward Jerusalem. His parables and teaching will conflict with the elites of his and our time, and we will explore the consequences, confident of God s love for us. You are welcome to join us on this journey every Tuesday until February 26 in the church library. Bring a guest or friend. There is no cost other than your time. Bibles and materials are provided. Pastor Dale Erickson will lead the discussion of Luke s Gospel, which is used in churches throughout the Church Year. Perfect attendance is not required. 5
