PRAYER BEFORE DIVINE WORSHIP Almighty, and everlasting God, for my many sins I justly deserve eternal condemnation. In Your mercy You sent Your dear Son, my Lord, Jesus Christ, who won for me the forgiveness of sins and everlasting salvation. Grant me a true confession that, dead to sin, I may be raised up by Your life-giving absolution. Grant me Your Holy Spirit that I may be ever watchful and live a true and godly life in Your service; through Jesus Christ, My Lord. Amen. ORDER OF DIVINE WORSHIP (Please silence your cell phones and mobile devices during our worship time. Our 10:30am worship service is live-streamed on the World Wide Web. Therefore, we consider your child/ren coming forward for the Children s Message as parental permission to publicly share their image.) Pre-service Music Welcome and Announcements Receiving of New Members Opening Hymn: He Is Exalted He is exalted, the King is exalted on high; I will praise Him. He is exalted, forever exalted and I will praise His name! He is the Lord, forever His truth shall reign; Heaven and earth rejoice in His holy name; He is exalted, the King is exalted on high. (Repeat) Written by Twila Paris; 1985 Straightway Music/Mountain Spring Music (adm. by EMI Christian Music Publishing); CCLI License # 1801824 Invocation Pastor: In the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Response: Amen. Page - 2 -

Confession and Absolution Pastor: If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. Response: But if we confess our sins, God who is faithful and just will forgive our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteous. Pastor: Let us then confess our sins to God our Father. Response: Most merciful God, we confess that we are by nature sinful and unclean. We have sinned against You in thought, word, and deed, by what we have done and by what we have left undone. We have not loved you with our whole heart; we have not loved our neighbors as ourselves. We justly deserve Your present and eternal punishment. For the sake of Your Son, Jesus Christ, have mercy on us. Forgive us, renew us, and lead us, so that we may delight in Your will and walk in Your ways to the glory of Your holy name. Amen. Pastor: Almighty God in His mercy has given His Son to die for you and for His sake forgives you all your sins. As a called and ordained servant of Christ, and by His authority, I therefore forgive you all your sins in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Response: Amen. Psalm Response (based on Psalm 93, ESV) Pastor: The LORD reigns; he is robed in majesty; Response: The LORD is robed; he has put on strength as his belt. Pastor: Yes, the world is established; it shall never be moved. Response: Your throne is established from of old; you are from everlasting. Pastor: Your decrees are very trustworthy; Response: Holiness befits your house, O LORD, forevermore. Song of Response: Shout to the Lord My Jesus, My Savior, Lord, there is none like You; All of my days I want to praise The wonders of Your mighty love. My Comfort, My Shelter, Tower of refuge and strength; Let ev ry breath, All that I am, Never cease to worship You. Page - 3 -

Shout to the Lord, All the earth let us sing Power and majesty, praise to the King; Mountains bow down and the seas will roar At the sound of Your Name. I sing for joy at the work of Your hands, Forever I ll love You, Forever I ll stand, Nothing compares to the promise I have... in You. {Repeat All} Words by Darlene Zschech; 1993 Hillsong Australia, Integrity s Hosana! Music; CCLI License # 1801824 Prayer of the Day Old Testament Reading: Isaiah 51:4-6 Pastor: This is the Word of the Lord. Response: Thanks be to God. Epistle Reading: Jude 20-25 Pastor: This is the Word of the Lord. Response: Thanks be to God. Gospel Reading: Mark 13:24-37 Pastor: This is the Gospel of the Lord. Response: Praise to you, O Christ! Apostles Creed I believe in God the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth. And in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried. He descended into hell. The third day He rose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty. From thence He will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Christian Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen. Children s Message Page - 4 -
