PRAYER BEFORE DIVINE WORSHIP Almighty, and everlasting God, for my many sins I justly deserve eternal condemnation. In Your mercy You sent Your dear Son, my Lord, Jesus Christ, who won for me the forgiveness of sins and everlasting salvation. Grant me a true confession that, dead to sin, I may be raised up by Your life-giving absolution. Confession and Absolution Pastor: If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. Response: But if we confess our sins, God who is faithful and just will forgive our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteous. Pastor: Let us then confess our sins to God our Father.
