WE RESPOND TO GOD S WORD *We Affirm Our Faith (in unison) We confess and acknowledge one God alone, to whom alone we must cleave, whom alone we must serve, whom only we must worship, and in whom alone we put our trust. Who is eternal, infinite, immeasurable, incomprehensible, omnipotent, invisible; one in substance yet distinct in three persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. By whom we confess and believe all things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, to have been created, to be retained in their being, and to be ruled and guided by his inscrutable providence for such end as God s eternal wisdom, goodness, and justice have appointed, and to the manifestation of his own glory. Amen. [from The Scots Confession] Prayers of the People (in unison) God of mercy, we pray for all who suffer, that our care for them may reveal your healing. We pray for the world, that all might tend to your justice and watch for your coming reign. We pray for the mission of your church, that it may plant and grow faithful people to serve in love. We pray in and through Christ, who taught us to pray, saying, Our Father, who art in heaven Amen. *Departing Hymn Jesus, Come, for We Invite You #669 Blessing One: We have been blessed! All: We have met for divine worship, as God s people. One: We have been blessed! All: Our sins have truly been forgiven. One: We have been blessed! All: We now go out into the world as the body of Christ, witnessing to the Risen Christ. We have been blessed indeed. Hallelujah, Amen! *Pastoral Benediction *Choral Benediction 3
